aka Stuff You Wear When You Do Stuff with Balls
I am currently lusting violently over these:
Asics Gel-Sensei 2 BY751 in Black/White/Silver
which will be purchased TODAY, via Zappos, and imported to Australia where they will await my arrival and vicious sating of aforementioned lust.
Notice the outsole:
which is clearly clearly designed for indoor court use, and the heel which is obviously built for proper support when landing, and just enough torsion for fast sideways movement.
These have since replaced my other lust-worthy volleyball shoes, which were these:
Asics Gel-Volleycross BN850 in Black/White/Silver
which are basically volleyball shoes that can also be worn and used as running shoes, evidenced in the outsole:
and the gray rubber that lines the outer edge of the sole, designed to brace the sole from taking too much damage on impact with pavement or other outdoor surfaces.
Asics and Mizuno, ever locked in their epic battle for supremacy in the realm of volleyball shoes, Mizuno brings us this fine, fine shoe:
The Mizuno Wave Tornado 3, known for its shock absorption capabilities, popular among those who suffer from particularly brutal knee injuries.
Asics, better known for its ankle and arch support. Mizuno, better known for its light weight, low(er) price, and breathability. For those who know me, I'll go with Asics every time.
Outside the realm of shoes, I bring you these:
Asics Gel Conform ZD900 Kneepads, arguably the best available out there, Asics kneepads are known to cushion your whole knee, including the sides... whereas most other "bubble" or "slider" kneepads focus their protection solely on the kneecap.
SE++, let us discuss the shoes and other gear you wear (or want to wear) for your various athletic activities, even if they do not involve balls (running, climbing, etc), or ask and give advice on the purchase of gear for such activities.

this is the only volleyball thread I have ever made, jerk and it's barely a volleyball thread at THAT
and train in these. Mizuno Wave Riders
I am in the market for new sailing shoes this year, my ancient ones have gone the way of the vasty deep. And I really really want a pair of salopettes but I have a hard time justifying the cost unless I start racing again this spring.
I did not improve very much in all the years I played, but I had fun and they needed me to fill out the numbers. God knows how good the rest of our team was to win Finals matches with me in the team.
One of the games we played, I don't know if it was the match before the Grand Final of the season, or the Grand Final itself, we had to win outright to get through because of a numbers shortage earlier in the season. We got them out once, beat their score and got 6 our the second time before we ran out of overs. Fuckers beat us previously in the season because we had 7 players on the field (4 down for you not in the know).
they are pretty rad
I just wish i had a sport that utilized them. They look pretty lame over my jeans.
What about that thread that you made about Volleyball butts?
I'm going to pretend you made that.
Now you're stuffed.
Satans..... hints.....
They are neat.
They stop me from dying.

this hit?
the Footjoy Dryjoys
keeping your feet nice and comfy with maximum grip in any stance on any angled surface, able to last you 18 holes with breathability without the least bit of discomfort
staying true to my trusty TaylorMade Burners, the new Burner XD Irons:
http://www.taylormadegolf.com/product_detail.asp?pID=191
a bit too light for my taste as I swing super fast for the most part, so heavier clubs suit me better, but still very much in line with what I love in a club
though I haven't upgraded from my original clubs in over 8 years!
Just kidding i like them
that's just talking ABOUT sports
this is about what you WEAR when you play sports
see it's totally different and neither of them are volleyball threads
so THERE
ha, those skates are almost exactly the same as mine
kpop appreciation station i also like to tweet some
yeah, sorry, been a rough night and i am perhaps more grumpy than necessary
in the sport of carrying my dog up and down stairs i wear slip-on converse ripoffs
plus everyone knows you only need a driver, putter, 5 iron, and maybe a sand wedge if you suck. And large amounts of alcohol.

They look like shoes I wore when I was 7.

Is the next thread things you do while wearing what you wear when playing sports that totally isn't a volleyball thread?
the new and improved FIVB-approved game ball, which made its debut in the Beijing 2008 Olympics
The Mikasa MVA200 Volleyball, with 8 textured spiral panels allowing for greater float, longer flight, better control, and better grip
we've been playing with this ball at my club here in Shanghai for half a year now and I have never seen a setter's fingers slip when using this ball like they do with the old Mikasa MVP 200s
rumor has it that that spiral pattern may be here to stay, so we may have to eventually say so long to the three-panel look we have all come to know and love
I did play an all-7-iron game once as an experiment at the behest of my parents... all I used was a 7-iron, putter, and a-wedge
I didn't do so badly, because my 7-iron is my most reliable club by FAR, it's dead-on accurate and reaches max distance all the time, so it kinda made up for my unreliable 5-iron tee shot (I don't use a driver) and fairway shots
Orik do you require man hugs?

Then I bet those shoes were pretty nifty.
