Robchampion, I now impart on you the technique "breaking wood," the most deadly technique in the beaver arsenal.

First you give him a boner...

    ...then you break it.

And if someone uses breaking wood against you, there is only one available defense:

Warning: I am totally tired at the moment - I am, in fact, pretty much asleep.

But, yeah, Kazhiim, I'm wondering where you're getting some of those DQs. Also, some of them work kinda weird, but I'll look into that when I'm not zonked.

Also, I'm too lazy to go find it and quote it, but, Re:The Question of Schemas - no, you do not get them automatically, you have to buy them like Features because they are Features.

There is a reason they are formatted the way they are.

    2 + 1 for damage + 1 for stat change + 2 for duration = 6 for the water spell

2 + 1 for damage + 1 for duration + 2 for immobilization (guess it should cost more) = 7 for brier patch

    2 + 2 for duration + 3 for moderate change = 7 for the 1st mancerymancery spell

2 + 2 for scale + 2 for duration + 3 for creative + 3 for moderate change for lesser manceric bubble (guess it's more than a moderate change)

    2 + 2 for scale + 3 for creative + 2 for duration + 2 for movement (since it displaces stuff) + 9 for major change - 1 for reagent usage = 19 for greater manceric bubble

    others seems fine to me

Wait I thought you guys already started?

If you haven't is it too late to join? What time are you starting tomorrow? I'm going to bed now but if I have time tomorrow it'd be pretty rad if I could read through the rules, make a character and get in on this mess.

Okay, yeah, those look fine now that I'm not falling asleep. The water mancery needs an alteration effect (if just dehydrating the water within the target) or a Movement effect (if actively removing the water, which is what the description would suggest). This is really Morkath's fault - his sample manceries made me realize that manceric effects are much more balanced DQ-wise if you have to pay for the cause as well as the effect.

Good job improving the system, Morkath.

For the manceric bubble, however, I'd just say that it's a raw Creative effect - it acts like a wall for manceric energy, and manceric items effects just shut down within it. That way Lesser and Greater can just vary in size.

The Briar patch's DQ is fine, but the Immobilization can just be covered by the Alteration effect needed to enhanced the plants' growth.

Good work. Apologies for my sleep-addled ramblings.

Yeah I know. I'm Human though so that's not an issue.

Any way I could tweak the Crowkin Messenger occupation and just have Swift Passage double my movement speed instead of flight speed?

Or maybe only double my movement speed while on a natenhorse or whatever.

If you wanted to be a Human raised by Crowkin, sure, I suppose, or you could take this Endowment:
    Swift Rider
You may double your mount's movement. In addition, you gain a +1 to Athletics (Ride).
