I'm thinking that the same thing that caused the Beastkin, also made all the animals messed up hybrids. At this point I'm just assuming a Modai did it.

I'ma call it the Shankusu Anomaly.

Also, dude, Antimatter - I just realized you're missing an Endowment! Go grab another one of your choice.

    No problem de?ad, it's literally what I do for a living. :P
Do I need to make any changes to the spells I have in my spellbook?

And yes speed racer, make him level 1 in creation, then advance him to level 2.

Your Golem spells need some changing, but other than that everything's cool.

The Golem spells need to have their Boon effects built into them - note that when summoning creatures, you count the total bonuses from Abilities or Learnings. So creatures with negative Abilities are easier to summon.

Ah ok cool. I was splitting up the body creation/animating/buffing into different spells. Since the actual creation of the body itself is such a huge investment, I figured it would make more sense to create the body, then attempt to animate it, then attempt to strengthen it. That way if any stage fails I am not out the total time amount, and can possibly make another attempt. Rather than the whole thing failing. :)

I'll fiddle with them some more.

    Edit:
Also, so your saying if I lower it's dextrocity by 2 for example, that would make it -2 to the DQ?

I rolled level one stats for mine, and it says level one on the wiki.

Should I change or is it still kosher?

The rules on the wiki are for creating a level one - we're level two, though.

It doesn't matter for you, as Flatmen have a -1 Level Penalty anyway. That means that you're level one when species without a penalty would be level 2.

Note that the beastkin in the party are also level one, whereas the humans are level 2.

Morkath: Actually, I went ahead and wrote up specific rules. Check out the Servile effect in the Mancery section.

Speed: Okay, I love that you're just playing Speed Racer. Seriously, fantastic. I would suggest, however, that you might want to play a different Occupation, as Crowkin Messengers are... well, sort of not that great.

    May I suggest a Thief, or perhaps a (Speed)mancer?

Also, you bought leather armor, which you, sadly, cannot use, as you lack the necessary Light Armor Proficiency.

Oh, and you need ranks for your Learnings... and it looks like you only used six Occupation Tokens.

    Other than that, good.

Oh dang there is a Speedmancer? Yeah okay gimme a second to edit that up then.

EDIT: Oh I guess you can just kind of come up with whatever college of mancery you want?

EDIT2: Oh no wait okay I found the list of mancery colleges. So I guess we're just adding Speedmancery to the list.

Both EDIT and EDIT2 are correct, Speed.

Basically, if I find it funny or interesting, it can be a college of Mancery. As with all specializations, the colleges on the wiki are examples.

Does altering follow the same 100lbs affected w/o scale rule as creative? Or would altering an existing mass of stone only ever add +3 no matter the size of the object?

So if I am making a 500lb stone statue out of nothingness, it is creative +3, scale +8.
If I was altering a 500lb stone rock to make a statue, it would just be altering +3?

Hmm, may consider making altering affect 200lbs/scale instead of the 100/scale on creative or somesuch. Because it currently seems for some things it makes more sense to just create what you need rather than try to work with what is already there.

Like if I am trying to make a golem, and there is no granite around for me to use, there is no incentive to use the surrounding soil to make the golem, rather than just willing into existence the granite.

So, I am kind of being a pain! But just so I'm clear here, there aren't really specific spells to learn, right? It's just kind of "I want to do x", and then the GM decides what the DQ should be?

And if that's right then how exactly does the Inborn Mancery Endowment work?

There is a system at work to create spells, but, no, there aren't really pre-made ones. If you're going to be mancer, I'd suggest writing down some of his most often-used spells, just for ease of reference.

Not quite. If you read the bottom of the Core Rules wiki page, there is a whole section on determining the DQ for the mancery you want to make.

How big of an alteration would you consider multiplying a target's movement speed by 1.5? Moderate?

That'd be an Minor Alteration (imbuing the target's with Elemental Speed), plus the Booning effect to affect the actual dice. To just move the target, that'd be a Moving effect.

Looks good. Go! shouldn't multiply their movement speed, but, for a memorized Casting DQ of four, it will add +3 to their roll, which ain't bad.

Also, I'm going to go ahead and let you exchange Interaction (Drone On and On) for Interaction (Speak Extremely Emphatically Without Pausing to Teak a Breath Because You Are So Excited About the Topic at Hand) if you'd like.
