I just realised that I lost all my cables for my SNES when I moved last, along with the controllers.
I have the console, my games and nothing else.

There are Virtual On double seater arcade cabinets on eBay for like $400-600. I want one so bad.

Something maybe a little more realistic, Virtual On sticks for the Dreamcast.

Hey guys, just scored something I've always wanted at Goodwill! For 5 bucks!

I saw a guy with in in his hands, if he hadn't have put it back down I would have tackled him. Minty condition! I'm so ecstatic right now! Sells for about 55 bucks unsealed. Sealed is about 100.

No, these are not rare at all. In fact, the white ones are prone to breaking and burning down your house in the night.

However, I would be willing to take it off of your hands for the generous price of $5 plus shipping. I will PM you my address.

I tried connecting my SNES with my GC composite cable and the colors were washed out. The other way went fine however. Probably some small change in the resistance of the cable.

During the last gen, I was really into collecting. At one point I had at least 300 current gen games (xbox / ps2 / gamecube) as well as a Sega Genesis (about 50 games) and a SNES (about 100 games). Then once I brokeup with my useless girlfriend (long time coming) I decided to get out more. Now all I have are the current gen systems (xbox360 / ps3 / wii), and a handful of games at a time (I'm a trade-in whore).

But seeing all this old cool shit, makes me want to collect again....

Until I saw the chance to buy one again and bought it on eBay, I wanted one of those RetroUSB adapters that connect SNES controllers to the GameCube/Wii.

I'm so glad I got another chance to buy it (I had been outbid for one, but the guy relisted it).

In case you want to know what it looks like, here is a picture of it:

    wiisnretroport.jpg

No more struggling with an ackward position for my hands when playing Megaman Anniversary collection and when I get Kirby 3 for the VC I won't have any problems with the control setup and its lack of a remapping option.

Also, I don't like the idea of having a Classic Controller wired to a Wii Remote.

Unless Nintendo is the one who makes it, or the maker develops some kind of switch for mapping buttons, I doubt it would be easy to create because control configurations vary from game to game.

Not to mention that some USB adapters for N64 controllers have problem with some controller models.

I got an awful lot of the obscure stuff I wanted including the Satellaview and Zelda CD-i games + console, but I always wanted an Asciipad 64 because I loved the Ascii products like the Fighter Stick SN and the AsciiPad for SNES and a certain Bomberman title required it to unlock something.

I also wanted a PlayYan and a DoCoMo adapters for GBC and GBA (along with some way to use them).

I still want Donkey Kong Country Competition Edition and StarFox Championship/Weekend Edition (from Nintendo PowerFest).

I'd also LOVE to have that "official" (prototype) Gamecube LCD that Nintendo demoed software on at some trade shows. They say that it used the digital port (480p) and mounted to the back clip/handle (3rd party ones only used the handle).
I really wanted one of those XBAND things back when they were around in the mid 90s.

    Xbands.gif

I was getting Nintendo Power regularly at the time so they always had a couple of pages devoted to the XBAND/XPLAY stats and usernames. I thought it was interesting. After just now reading the wiki on this, I'm kind of glad I never had it. $4 per HOUR? AND it was horrible service on popular games? Ouch.

What are you talking about? HOURLY play?! Only idiots or rich people in rural areas paid for NATIONWIDE service. Everyone else with paid $10 a month for 50 credits or $20 a month for unlimited connects.

Even then, you make it sound like you'd be playing for an hour. The XBAND would patch games to play a round and then quit with the option to replay. One hour is a ton of Killer Instinct matches. Basically, the long-distance service was a special kind of Sprint service that shared the bill between both players so it ended up being. Deregulated long distance had just reached $0.10 a minute through, you guessed it, SPRINT and this was about $0.05 a minute.

    I have:

-MGS: Twin Snakes on GameCube - $15 at GameStop about a year after it came out
-Ico for PS2 - $20 used at a different GameStop
-The original TimeSplitters on PS2 (not sure if this is actually rare but I never see it anywhere)
-Breath of Fire II on SNES (probably not worth that much, but enough to get it put behind glass at Play-N-Trade)

Is the PS2 version of Half-Life (with Decay) rare? I got that for free from work.

    My wants:
-Four WaveBird controllers and a Game Boy Player
-The Art of Metal Gear Solid
-All of the SNES greats (Earthbound, Final Fantasy III, Chrono Trigger, etc.)
-Megaman X2 and X3 on SNES
-Ikaruga, either on Dreamcast or GameCube (or both)
-Dreamcast BBA, plus keyboard/mouse/web browser (though it seems the browser is actually extremely common)

I'll definitely think of more in the coming hours.

In my mind, the game is pretty much unplayable on the DualShock controller. You really, really do need a keyboard and mouse. I had been having trouble just aiming at/shooting headcrabs. Decay is the only reason I've held onto that game (could never get the PC port working).
