That's actually a pretty fun minigame.
So, naturally, it's devoted to an encounter on a weekly timer.
Sadly, the event is hardly relevant any more since it's not a level 80 zone.
Don't even need to look at the picture. Fuck that instance with a piledriver. So glad I don't have to do it anymore. Chess itself was kinda fun though.

But that's the great part about this. You don't need to invest a lot of time into it. Games are played at a very leisurely pace.
I am terrible at chess. Half the time my moves are at random. Username is the same as here. bytoady
I've actually had a bit of a hard time getting my head into the game, since there can be hours or days between each move. The analyze option is making that a bit easier and I'm starting to get into it but it definitely has a learning curve.
But now that I'm getting more used to it I like it quite a bit.
