Hi Guys,

I have gotten a new Ipod touch, have put some videos on it, but sound and video are falling out of synch. Only very slightly, by a second or two after a few mins, but lips are not synching now and it is annoying me. Any ideas whats the problem? The videos play fine on my macbook.

Honestly, that's usually a problem with the videos themselves and not the player. What videos are they, and where/how did you get them?

    Google video.

    http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5953144815860568095&ei=tWVzSfnrH6b8iAKFvIywBQ&q=vurtne+60-66

Chose the download psp/ipod option, always out by about 1 second.

How can you even tell it's out of sync? It's just music with a video. Even if it's going out of sync, it's (typically) a problem with the video or the video when it's downloaded. I used to have an ipod, and I've never seen the player have a problem like that.

Or the iPod doesn't like the codec used to encode the video.

I'm guessing it's a video problem when you downloaded it. Try downloading it from another source instead of Google Video (if you can find it from another source).

Seems like they either play it or don't though; I don't remember there being a gray area where some stuff didn't play well. I used mine for playing videos all the time and I never had that happen. I suppose it could be a problem with that particular ipod model? Might be worth checking into that.

If the compression is the right kind but really bad it can take longer to play the video part than the audio part.

That's true. I suppose that all goes back to the original downloaded file then. Check your source OP and re-download it.
