I think this is called... foreshadowing :P

I think the only remaining step for me is buying equipment. Basically all my character will need is a flight suit, a medkit and a big ass sniper rifle, preferrably with explosive and/or armour piercing rounds. All the better to kill Cylons with, my dear.

Did you want me to make up my Raptor, HB? If Hawkeye could have his own Raptor that only he flew, something that is a) an older model and b) has some slight modifications, that would be preferrable, but just being assigned a random Raptor from the rotation is fine too, especially if Raptors are in such short supply that he wouldn't have his own.

    Specialist Geoffrey "Hephaestus" Wilson
    Background
They told Geoff, later, that it was a miracle. That something must have intervened on his behalf. That the chances of being called to investigate a sensor glitch in navigation, of his tether holding after the ship was holed, of that last emergency bulkhead snapping shut just in time, of that evac crew hearing his panicked cries through their masks, of him surviving the three-week flight back to Galactica, were too slim to be anything but divinely mandated.

In the aftermath of That Day, Geoff had been absorbed into the crews responsible for running Galactica, his almost preternatural understanding of the ship's systems in high demand by various sections of the technical staff. He had considered returning to the science labs, of course, but the twisting labyrinth in the belly of the beast gave him the perfect place to hide from everything -- and everyone. He became one of the invisible men, toiling away at the myriad tiny tasks that kept Galatica moving and fighting.

Geoff didn't remember any miracles from That Day. He remembered the decompression shattering his eardrums and his leg nearly being wrenched off as he spun into a wall. He remembered the black mouth of space opening wide to swallow him. It was always out there, now. Hungry. Waiting. So he hid, and tried to forget his one brush with adventure.

    VIT: D6
    INT: D12
    AL: D10
    WILL: D8

    Skills (68 pts)
    Covert D6 (Pick Lock D10)
    Craft D6 (Gunsmith D8)
    Guns D6 (Pistol D8)
Mechanical Engineering D6 (Mech. Repairs D10, Create Mech. Device D10)
    Scientific Expertise D6 (Math D10, Physics D10)
Technical Engineering D6 (Disable Devices D8, Electronics D8, Repair Electrical Systems D10)

    Traits

    Assets:
    Advanced Education D10
    Mathematician D6
    Mechanically Inclined D6
    Sixth Sense D8
Talented D4 (Mechanical Repairs, Electronic Repairs)

    Complications:
    Coward D4
    Dull Sense/Hearing D4
Phobia/Deep Space D10 -- as long as this won't force me to run checks every turn that Galactica's in Deep Space. That'd be too much, I think. I'd suggest that he's very troubled in a space suit or small craft though. I wouldn't send him out to repair something on the outer surface of Galactica, unless you want to send someone to mop him up, afterwards.
    Slow-Mover D2
    Weak Stomach D4
    Trusting D6

Equipment to be figured out. Probably a pistol and then toolkits of some sort.

Hahaha awesome Grimmy. A Cowardly, weak stomached guy with a crippling fear of space. :^:

On the bright side, you'll have lots of plot points to spend repairing stuff out of combat :P

Never let it be said that I'm afraid of a challenge.

And anyway, it's not like the whole game's set in a giant crumbling ark tumbling through the infinite void, right?

    Wait, what?

Specialist Helix? I may not be an expert at Galactica lore, but aren't the pilots in Galactica all officers?

As far as equipment goes, I'll probably need some sort of pistol, a uniform, and maybe some sort of detective gear. Hopefully something more advanced then a magnifying glass and tobacco pipe.

Being the total opposite of "Expert on Galactica lore" myself, I checked and all the pilots I know of are officers. I guess he can be a Junior Lieutenant... Having him outrank the ensign wasn't really what I had in mind, but it might make things bearable. Having Starbuck's rank is appropriate, I guess :P

Anymore room in this. I love BSG like no other.

But I'd have to find the book.

I think a pilot can be at least an ensign, but maybe that's during training. I'll look around the BSG Wiki.

I'm still intending to follow this game's progress.

Actually, decided I wanted to do something with the "Military listens to his hunches" thing- added Renowned(Military) d4 , and counterbalanced it with Memorable(d4). People whisper about his almost supernatural abilities as a scout and pilot, and he's a minor celebrity with the enlisted men... both for his scouting abilities and his flair for getting himself disciplined most every time he's back from a mission- usually in dramatic fashion.

This explains why he's spent so much of his career alone in deep space- He's damn good at what he does, and his mouth can't get him into trouble if he's out of radio contact.

    Aaaaalrighty then!

Sorry it's been so long. Life picked up a little.

All the completed sheets so far are in the OP - this thread'll be converted to the IC thread. All OOC stuff can be dealt with in spoilers (not limited to players), and rolls through Invisible Castle.

As I get more sheets, I'll work other people in.

That said...hope you're ready to start soon.

Hey Hylian. Just wanted to check if this game was dead before it started, or merely delayed... I saw you had gotten a bit busy of late, so I wanted to check :)

I'm definitely still in, for what that's worth. Been kind of all over the place for the last couple of weeks, but I am back now.
