Yeah, I suppose so. My wish is they would do what family guy did. That is they would gain huge popularity for a canceled show, and they would bring it back.
Except not terrible like the new family guy episodes.
Well as I understand it Family Guy was canceled because it pissed people off not because of poor ratings so their comeback made a lot more sense.
I don't know if I'd would wish for it to come back but I'd definitely like to see Bateman in more things. He's fucking great.
it was a combination.
Family guy offended people and as a result it got moved around in scheduling
as a result of being moved around, people didn't know when it was on, so it got poor ratings.
So in responce to the show getting some complaints, they bump it around the schedule and anyone who actually likes it has a harder time keeping up with it.
Obi, don't try to pretend that you are being logical.
You're the one who tried to use anecdotal evidence.
I used anecdotal evidence because that really is the only evidence we have when discussing this, unless you have actual numbers or something.
"Pretend" to be logical? Sorry, but all of my classes right now are currently forcing me to be logical so that how I am tending to be. Gotta love "Technical Communication", Calculus II, & Data Structures and Algorithms.
Thing that is bugging me is that no one else has given any sort of evidence showing that the problem WASN'T the marketing.
did anyone see that show that bateman directed the pilot of
it was set in a hotel
had the guy from sliders
oh yea called 'do not disturb'
i just watched that one episode and it was fucking godawful
it is canceled now after only a few more episodes
point is what was bateman doing
what was he thinking

are we seriously arguing about why this show was canceled?
i mean yeah it was fantastic but it didnt get good ratings (probably because fox kept moving it around the schedule every other week) and ratings equals money which equals more episodes

That is the dumbest fucking thing.
that's what happens when you have contracts, and conflicting agendas, and all of that.
television isn't an artistic outlet, it is a business.
I wish they got picked up for a special or a movie or something. I don't know. Just lame that it ends like that.
This is a joke right?
You know the movie has been announced for a while
Amazing. That's the best thing I've ever heard. I'm assuming it must have happened while I was in my coma in Japan where I heard nothing about anything that actually mattered. Good shit.
I saw Judy Greer (Kitty) on an episode of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia and I was thrown by her playing anybody but Kitty, even more so as her character was a competent store owner.
wait
oh my god
that's who that was? Fatty Magoo was Kitty?
whooooaaaa
I know
I had to look it up on Wikipedia to find out who it was

within three posts I could tell new guy was a new guy
I dunno do new guys give off some sort of aura or what
***AURA***
It has been compared to Spanish Fly.
Not with the first season I don't think. Pretty sure it was just plain canceled and that is why it's 10 or so episodes shorter than the others.

Yes, but anecdotal evidence means absolutely jack shit.
If you only have anecdotal evidence, that means that you do not have any evidence.
the show lasted a couple of seasons (i want to say three, but it was possibly only two) before being cancelled
