Mixing up my exercise.

I posted this in the fitness thread, but didn't get a response, so I'm hoping I'll have better luck here.

After 2 weeks of exercise, dropping sodas and eating healthy, much to my suprise I have managed to drop 9 pounds. Right now, all I'm doing exercise wise is cardio, whether it be riding bike, walking around the neighborhood, or climbing the stairs at work. Question is, should I continue to focus on this, or mix things up? If so, what exercises do you recommend that I can do from home? Honestly, right now my legs are killing from doing this every day, so it would be nice if I could focus on a different part of my body for tomorrow.

http://hundredpushups.com/ was pretty popular in D&D. I didn't manage to go the full course (I wont make excuses) But I definitely got stronger - and I'm starting it again, now that things have calmed down for me.

You can do it at home, it takes no time at all, and you don't need any equipment.

I know its not an "at home" thing, but if there's a swimming pool nearby, then that is awesome no-impact exercise.

Keep it up man. If you want weight loss, then cardio is what you're after... But I enjoyed the difference I started feeling after doing the push ups.

A recently published study (last year I think) found that if you start your cardio at ~80% of your max heart for the first 15 minutes then ~60% for the next 15 minutes of cardio you'll burn more calories.

If you're a dude weight lifting can be really beneficial in the caloric burn up department.

But yeah, switch it up. Your body gets used to doing the same exercises repeatedly.
