Don't worry about the OP that much, honestly. Not like the new guy isn't an idiot in his own way.
Like I've been telling the people that think everythings gonna magically get better overnight, "He's not the obamessiah. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss"

I admit I would be both surprised and happy to hear that there's going to be another major raid after Ulduar that isn't Icecrown Citadel.
......What the hell would it be?
Going by tradition, a new troll raid.
Ugh.... I just might die a little inside if thats the case. I was secretly hoping they would open something on Azeroth like the place thats supposed to continue Uldaman or maybe a new CoT?
Trolls again? FFS who's left? Haven't we basically committed genocide on all non-Horde friendly trolls?
I'm not sure, I would think there would T7-T9 just as the previous editions.
If Ulduar were to be T7+, that would imply another content expansion before T8, since Icecrown (and connected instances) will certainly be the T9 content.

Org/Stormwind?
I dont know, I just remember reading it and thinking to myself much the same thing. We still dont know of the Old God will make an appearance in Ulduar. I would love to see Uldum. It would be nice to see what Arthas has been doing this whole time. I mean its been what, like 10 years? Why are his forces not overwhelmingly large? Sure Naxx back in Vanilla was a set back, but really you would think his realm would've been a lot more...complete?
Maybe we'll see what Deathwing has been up to?

Yeah, I mean I was expecting a bit more from Air Force people, but what the hell can you do?
I dont worship the ground Obamessiah walks on, but I'm mildly looking forward to the changes he is going to attempt to bring about (even if it does mean reduced job security in the military).
Ulduar will bring Tier 8 into play, there will more than likely be new gear to purchase on both the Heroes and Valorous vendors.
Edit: So no, no new badges. That'd be silly.
I disagree, I think there's a good chance that there will be new badges for Ulduar along with tier 8 gear tokens.
Sure, there weren't new badges in BC with each new tier, there were just badges of justice for everything. But that was a MISTAKE. This led to the problem of "noobs farming Kara and getting BT-equivalent gear." In WLK, they introduced dual tiers of gear as well as dual emblems, with shared adjectives (valorous and heroes). They clearly thought it was a problem that people could farm one level of content and get rewards equivalent to another, they didn't want people farming 10-man Naxx and getting 25-man Naxx gear out of it via emblems, so they split the emblems. If they do add more emblem gear with Ulduar to begin with, I just can't imagine their intention being for people to run out and purchase it all on day 1 with saved-up emblems of heroism and valor from Naxx. I'd bet that Ulduar comes complete with tier tokens as well as emblems featuring two new adjectives like heroes and valorous.
According to The List, Grim Batol will be in the next expansion.
What list? o.O
There is a list, supposedly posted by a Blizzard employee in 2003, that lists what zones will be in the future expansions.
edit: I should add that the thing is most likely very very fake, but it's fun to dream.
This list.

Maw of Oblivion - 100+
Edit: Yeah, probably fake, but the ideas are cool.
The concept seems extremely shaky to me, really. It isn't like the new gear will be so insanely better that being able to get the heroes stuff will make 'hardcore' raiders have a hissy fit. The biggest things will likely be the tier tokens, and I imagine they can simply increase the badges required if it really is going to be a problem. I've always seen badge gear as a way for people to pad the slots they are having bad luck with, so it would seem silly to come out with this new kind of badge just for one single instance.
Edit: The problem with that list, is that it's listing Sholozar/Storm Peaks/Ice Crown as if you go through them in that order. I can't think of -anyone- who stepped foot into Storm Peaks, even Sholozar Basin without a flying mount.

Edit before more discussion:
What is the plan with crystalsong forest?
I mean I imagine we will see Arthas march his ungodly massive army to the shadows of Dalaran and then build a corpse pryamid up to the city, but have they actually stated any plans for the zone?
I sort of saw them fixing this with the two different badges. So we were going to see a 10-man and 25 man badge gear. Thus the 10man farmers would be unable to farm Naxx for months and go out and buy 25man T9 gear to way overgear the instance.
I think we wont see as much gear disparity between the tier levels...or maybe thats what I'm praying for.
And yeah, that list does seem fake, but cool
I do like the idea of taking the fight back to the fucking Legion. Those fuckers need to be wiped from the realm of existence...after we deal with all the shit we have screwed up in Azeroth
Seems obvious what ever they do with Crystalsong is going to involve the two Blood Elf factions in Dalaran. Although... the horde one is likely Blood Elf, the Alliance High Elf. Both of them have their own big camps down on the ground, but there is nothing in them but a vendor really.
I've been wondering this for some time. Every now and then I see a NPC walking through Dalaran, and I can't interact with them. They just walk to some point and disapear. Some of them are hostile. Who are those people? Are they just random Dalaran mages?

Mages that wont give you food!
Or Ports!
Its a mage NPC uprising!
Its so that later on when we move onto Shattrath 3.0.0, Dalaran won't seem like a totally deserted ghost town, there will still be non-dalaranians walking the streets and doing..... something.

Sigh. Figures they'd do this shit on my day off. Servers still aren't up. Oh well.

Shrug, I still think it's possible, new badges per tier so people can get gear that goes with that tier FROM that tier. You can't just look at BC and assume they'll follow the same design. Think about it, the tier pieces are heroes and valorous. The emblems are too. Ulduar dropping some new named tokens but the same badges? I'm not saying it's INEVITABLE. Could just as easily argue that heroes and valorous will apply to Ulduar gear too, Heroes Pantaloons of [New Name] as tier 8, etc. I just think they wanted to avoid what happened in BC with people farming easy shit for the best gear. Even if you're just doing 10 mans, why should someone be able to farm Naxx 10 and get instance-after-Ulduar 10-man gear? Maybe I'm just too hopeful. :rotate:
Well it's only two pieces of an entire set that would be available, a smaller piece and a bigger piece if they follow the trend from the currently available tokens. The other gear? I don't think it will be so omgwtfbbqm8 awesome that being able to get it from the badges you got from Naxxramas will make it ridiculous.

I feel you man. I just fired the WoW account back up after taking a long ass break. Friday mornings are my best game time all week. Shit blows, 2-4 hours my ass.
I suppose. Maybe if they increase the number of badges needed... But the idea of being able to just buy all the pieces they add off the vendor on patch day, because everyone has saved up emblems, seems silly. Maybe they should add a rep component too. Like the new items aren't available off of the same guys in Dalaran, you need to actually run the new instance a certain number of times to be able to purchase the new gear.

Hey hey, Corin. Welcome back to the addiction.
Yeah, it sucks. What's worse is that my wife has the car all day (she's at work), so I can't go out and get any other errands done. I'd pop in a movie or whatever, but I'm sure that as soon as I'd get into it, the servers would come back up. I have Nobles cards to make and sell here, people!

Working on some Fable 2 but man it just isn't scratching the itch... I have levels to get.

I hope so. Naxx already feels like molten core. Too long and boring as hell. I don't want to run it again when Ulduar comes out.
I think Blizzard may want to limit the badges just so people don't get 'confused'. I think we may see a downward shift as content progresses, like eventually opening up heroism to buy what's on valor now and valor still being reserved for the newer gear. I'm not sure how they'd do it and avoid people 'saving up' but they could always wait a bit before releasing the new badge gear so people couldn't get it as soon as the new instance opens. Then you've got the possibility of people complaining for not being able to buy newer gear on the level of an instance as soon as the instance is open, but the t6 level badge gear didn't come out right as BT and Hyjal either.
It's big, yeah, but at least Naxx bosses go by quickly. I remember how many trash mob pulls there were in MC in between bosses. Trash mobs on respawn timers, at that.
Mmm we do regular 25-man clears in four hours on Tuesdays, and alt/pug clears are approaching that speed too. We finished last night around 12:30 EST and I know we didn't start at regular raid time (8 EST), maybe a half hour or hour later, even.
MC even at the end of vanilla WoW took us two nights or a long Sunday. That was with undergeared bads and people autofollow AFKing though.

Really? We used to do a Saturday morning run for MC where you'd have 15 or so our raiders, 10 or so of the F&F and the rest were friends of friends, pugs from the server and we still could get it cleared in a few hours.
If your guild is good at distributing loot quickly and you pull trash while it's being distributed you could clear Nax25, Malygos, and Sarth3d in 4hrs.
