I don't know, that sounds like a perfectly reasonable rule for that particular fight.

Its only reasonable if you die due to failure on the dancing. You can easily die on that fight due to the disease and the healers failing.

The Druid allegedly died on Heigan's platform through not getting heals/cleanses during phase 1, not by failing to dance.

And even if he did die to the dance, still a pretty fucking stupid rule. This was a pug, not a guild run.

barring massive lag spikes, i personally believe that anyone who is unable to dance should be subject to the full spectrum of ridicule.

of course that raid leader was still a huge asshole.

I had a thought. These occur on occasion, sometimes with pain.

I don't like the vendor window for buying badge gear. If I don't know the name of the gear I want off the top of my head, I have to mouse over the ones that look like they could be plate maybe, so I can find them.

I'd rather be able to arrange the vendor display by equip location. While they're at it, put the dressing room window in there to, with a comparison to what you're currently wearing. Click something in the list, it shows what it looks like and shows which stats you lose or gain compared to your current item.

I just hate a page with 10 items where the icons mean nothing to me. It's ugly.

The vendor displays are arranged by equip location. I tend to use the plate vendor rather than the badge vendor just for the reason you mentioned though.

He knew the rule, and unless he really didn't die during the dance, he shouldn't complain.

The problem was the raid leader was like "Oh, by the way if you die you get no loot. Now let's kill him!" so no one knew if he was serious or not for sure until the end. I'm sure a lot more people would have left if he had proposed this at the start and made sure everyone understood he was serious, but he didn't because he knew that they would leave if he did, so he waited till the last possible second.

Oh hey another holiday for me to frantically complete achievements for still not knowing if I'll even be able to get the drake this year since I don't have Brew of the Month on my new main.

Also argh I wonder if they're going to do anything with the Noble Garden one. It's pretty lame that the only two achievements for it are getting really rare drops from random eggs. Last year my boyfriend and our GM ran around for like two days straight opening eggs and getting dresses and tuxedos for people and I had planned on getting him to get my achievements for me if he was going to do that anyway, but so much for that plan. Argh.

Noble Garden isn't required for the meta-achievement, so it's really no big deal.

So I know that transferring characters between accounts and transferring across servers are two individual fees, but that you can do both of them at once, for just one combined fee of $25.

I don't suppose anyone has tried or know whether character visual customization can be included in that?

I can see this Lunar festival being no trouble except possibly the heroic one depending on which instance it is....let me go check...

Oh thats ok, it's Gundrak. A very often-done heroic. I'll just wait till it's the daily.

And considering the length of the festival, i don't mind spending a few days slowly visiting places around the world for the coins/elders. It'll be nice to see old places again.

I've always liked Azshara, it's a shame they never really did anything with the place except make it gold farmer heaven, and hide really annoying quest turn ins at the ass end of the place.

Brought this up before, but getting those coins is making me nostalgic for BRD and LBRS. When dungeons were dungeons, not a series of loot pinatas.

True. But there's still the fact that I had fun exploring those places. No wrath of the lich king dungeon is fun. Therefor, nostalgia or no, I miss them.

Dungeons are now the MMO equivalent of starcraft money maps.

Some were, some weren't. It was hit or miss, whereas now its uniform "meh".

Wailing Caverns, Blackrock Depths, and Blackrock Spire were pure awesome. Scarlet monastery and deadmines were good. Gnomer and Sunken Temple were horrible, horrible, horrible places.

The main reason why Blackrock Depths is so great is all the stuff in it. 10 level span, with tons of quests, items that could be redeemed by going in there, raid attunements, all sorts of stuff. Doesn't feel like a loot grind. More like an instanced city filled with angry dwarfs.

It would be interesting, but different. You'd lose out a bit on the dungeon aspect, so it would be weaker overall.

In any event, I'm probably silly for wanting real dungeons in my online RPGs, but its kind of an important aspect in my eyes. Raids are pretty fun, though, so its all good.
