Mother. Fuck.
My 360 RROD'd just now
I hope it's just from overheating.
Sorry guys.
Also sorry for sucking
Well that's a bit shit.
After you dropped off we lost the guy who wasn't Redfield from your team as well so we did DA co-op instead.
Then we lost Kris and Red halfway through DA3 (which me and Radne finished by the way, guys) and this is my summary of events before I head to bed...at 7:40...
Been a quiet night on the Zombie front
Yeah sorry about dissapearing, I was waiting for you guys to save me and as soon as the door opened L4D crashed.
not enough pictures of that same event

Has anyone else (on the 360) been getting weird lockups on this game?
I was playing a few times this weekend, and the game would randomly glitch, get stuttery, and then just lock up entirely. This happened once on netflix, and hasnt happened on anything BUT L4D since then.
How do I do that hard drive maintenance thing again? lb rb xx lb rb or something? I may try uninstalling it and then re-installing it to my 360 hard drive again and see if that clears things up.
Just when you thought it was safe with the door closed...
I did that today. Was that me? I felt kind of bad about it.
Also played against some pubs and Tom Cruise Control, in an early round when the all the survivors were down but one made it the safe room to only listen to their laments, I huntered through the door and killed him. I felt kinda bad about it too. The French Pubber who was on my team was pretty cool though. Smok-eire! Boom-eire!
I think that might have been me on the receiving end of that trans-dimensional tongue lashing.
I figured: "Oh, I'll just close the door since doors stop boomer vomit, hunter pounces, and the like."
Cosmically, I wasn't even rewarded in a later vs match where I, as a boomer, vomited as soon as the survivors climbed the stairs in NM4, only to have the closing door push it all back in my face.

Truly, the door is my real enemy.
The worst is when you try to vomit through the windows in the NM finale radio room. I was inside as a Boomer and the survivors were right on the other side, and yet none of the vomit went through.

I get lock ups every so often, but mostly with other games (damn you fable 2!) I do have installed on my HD tho, so that might be why.
To clear your cache:
Go to the system blade and then select memory.
Press Y on the HD symbol and then press X,X,Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X,X. Once you do this a messsage will appear saying: Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?
Performing this function will also clear any software updates.
I'm on page 98 and I stayed up till 5 am last night riddled with excitement and awe. I couldn't put it down.
The book is written in journal form, compiled entries from start to finish, with little side notes and scribbled out remarks of the day. It's written like someone from the graffiti all over L4D, had a compiled and documented journal. I love this style of writing, because it keeps you checking back comparing times and dates from earlier posts, yet keeps you interested and not drained through the periodical posts. He records his fortification inside his home, just outside of Austin, TX in the start of the book.
This is surviving a zombie Armageddon.
PS: oh yea did I mention they're the old school zombies? 8-)
I found out about this book a few years ago, it's a good read. Here's a link to J.L. Bourne's page for the book. You can read a sample of it.
The journal format is a large part of what makes it interesting to read.
I read the portion available on that site, I had to read that book, and WWZ. After finishing then I can heartily recommend both to anyone who hasn't read them. I liked DBDA a bit better than WWZ tho.

WWZ's finally being made into a movie that sounds pretty badass. The option for the movie was picked up a while ago, but now it's actually being written for the big screen.
I'm thinking about not hosting a server anymore. There just doesn't seem like there is much of a point to hosting a server, there is not much in the way of customization you can do and no chance of building any sort of community around a server :-/

Sheet post the IP here and it's sv_search_key and I guarantee you people will be flooding your server.

Yea I agree also, I just finished the novel last night and it was amazing. He also mentions at the end, "There will be a sequel." So ynow, that fucking rules.
You know what's really fun? When you're playing VS and the opposing team decides it will just go practically suicide every round as survivor.
Good show, chaps. It's not like people have fun playing infected or anything.. you shouldn't let them have their turn.
If this was PAers I would scorn them and call them penis loving newbs that can't play a fair game cause they're lame.
If it was a pub, I would have just kicked every single one of those fuckers and got new opponents.
You can't kick the other team, though. The solution on a pub would be to just leave and find another game. The quality of pubs has gone way down in the past few weeks, when the game first came out I had some awesome pub games but lately they've all been shit.

I've been having alot of problems with my 360 recently.
Had a premium system that I'd had from launch day which RROD'd 1 WEEK after the three year RROD warranty ran out so went and got myself an Elite and a data transfer cable.
Moved my stuff from my 20Gb to my 120Gb HD, installed NXE and promptly froze up.
Since then I've had countless freezes on L4D during the loading screens, Fable 2, Prince of Persia, and the worst of all was Crackdown.
I decided to let one of my flatmates have Crackdown for a while and then decided I fancied playing it, loaded it up and was met with the message "your content is invalid or corrupt" (or something to that effect) and then it froze before loading up the start menu. So I cleared out my old Crackdown save and started a fresh one, stopped for the night, tried the next day and it froze before the start menu...repeatedly.
Now I don't know if the problem is with:
a) the new Xbox
b) the new HDD
c) the old content
d) the content transfer
e) NXE
f) Log

Well I'd prob just vote to go back to lobby and then hopefully it would pass.

I think it's just a matter of everyone not knowing what they were doing when the game came out. Now the difference between the good and the bad is quite noticeable; thus, the games become more one sided and shit. But, these are actually the games I love. I get on pubs hoping that my team will be terrible - this means we get wiped right away as survivor and I get to play infected. I get to try new stuff without people wondering what the hell I'm doing, and I just like to play infected... plus I get all the tanks.

You too? Sometimes I find myself secretly wishing we get wiped as the survivors real fast because I just like playing infected so much.

Then I'd need to know how to set up the sv_search_key

Yeah, that was Sladvan
We tried to start a game 3 times last night. The servers were either hella-laggy or crashed before the second stage was over.
Was just about to post that one. Good times.
and FYI that's after the modifier. It would have been 1 single point otherwise
Comme ça?
Yeah sorry about dissapearing, I was waiting for you guys to save me and as soon as the door opened L4D crashed.
Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Good games over the weekend tho.

Man you're not supposed to post our failure! Just theirs!
Hard to keep them separate given how hard we fail some of the time.
If you play with Lost, or Donat on a regular basis, tell them I said hi.
EDIT: I find it very amusing that kaffaljidhma is on other team in those pics.

Yeah if it was a PA game call em out on here.
The reason we play together is to keep fucks like that out of our games.

Man, I so thought that was our Muffinman and was ready to get into a flame war (anything to pass the day)
Alas however, Muffinman just seems to be a really popular name.

I have a feeling you might be talking about the team I was playing on last night. Was is BH4? Did the team end up going into Race 4 Dead mode?
