Hello

I don't drink coffee. I want to get coffee for my friend as a gift and im looking for some genuine cuban beans. I live in Canada and this is trickier than i thought. Id like something aromatic... can any coffee enthusiasts assist me? Know/hear of a good online site to order beans from?

Being cuban beans is the only restriction here really.

Any leads welcome!

Gracias todos

Have you heard that cuban beans are particularly good? Or is this for "cuban coffee," which is a type of espresso?

Head to your nearest coffee roaster (any decent city will have at least one shop that roasts beans onsite) and get them to recommend something that was roasted in the last few days.

Cubans don't really care, we just drink Bustelo or Cafe La Llave or Pilon out of a vacuum-sealed bag. If any of them sell beans, I guess you could go for that. But really, Cuban coffee doesn't tend to come from Cuba, it comes from other countries because of the current trade embargo.

    He's from Canada.

I think Canada trades with Cuba quite a bit. I could be wrong though as I'm sure.

You could try looking for some sort of local importer. There must be something that might specialize in that.
