My bf's old roomie used to bust a nut over Turkey Hill Iced Tea and how you could only get it in PA and how it's the best ever.

I went to smart camp in lancaster, PA at the F&M campus and going to Turkey Hill or the farmer's market were like sacred pilgrimages because we never got off campus otherwise

What kind of smart cmap? I did JHU's in Bethlehem at Moravian.

I did CTY which is through JHU - all four years at Lancaster. it was kind of cult-like but fun.

    What the hell.

if you score high enough on the SATs when you are in seventh or eighth grade you get to go take a class during the summer at one of various colleges and live on campus with other "gifted" (socially awkward) children

No way, i went to nerd camp up in Mass. Hampshire college. the closest place was a rustic general store, and we had to walk.

    yup CTY!

No way I was CAA! I did genetics, bio ethics and law then went down to Baltimore to do all the Marine camps.

Edit: We snuck off campus in PA all the god damn time. The RA's really never noticed when we skipped activities.

Edit2: Socially Awkward is why I chose CAA over CTY. My SAT's were high enough for CTY but those kids were really weird.

I work in Easton, PA which was founded in like 1739. Many of the older buildings, like a few on my work site, still have horse hitches. The one building I worked in used to be an old coopersmiths area for them to make barrels to ship chemicals and minerals down on the Lehigh and Delaware river.

In the Lancaster area (or Intercourse, Pennsylvania...lol) there are plenty of places, even modern buildings, that have to cater to horse and buggies. Driving west can be a bitch when you get behind a fucking horse and buggy on a highway.

Don't they have minimum speeds on the highway? Here it's like 40 or 45.

dang I probably could have snuck off campus but there was nowhere to go but turkey hill

I don't think I did that great but I think if you got over 600 on either verbal or math you could get in - the website says in the 95th percentile or higher on one of the tests

that sounds about right. when i did it, you had to get over 600 in both (i think) to get to take the science courses. I had to take stuff like Logic and Psychology.

no that can't be right... getting over a 1200 in 7th grade would be ridiculous... I think i got like a 970 or something

The distributor wouldn't sell it in Georgia until about 2 months ago for some reason. Nobody seems to be particularly clear on it, but when they started selling it, it fucking exploded. It was all bottles for the first month, but draught is showing up everywhere now.
