not unlike the csi: MIAMI drinking game

    Or the House drinking game.

Which no one can remain conscious through an entire round of.

it had a crazy button you could push to shake the bridge right

Dude you're thinking of Forbidden Bridge. The game I always wanted but never got.

Also yes playing the Legends of the Hidden Temple drinking game is tantamount to suicide.

My favorite though is the M.A.S.H. driunking game, where you take a shot everytime someone says someone else's rank (i.e Major, Corporal, Colonel, etc), and if you really want to die, you also drink every time someone says "doctor" or "nurse".

I recently found out about the Trivial Pursuit game show. Really kind of awful

You can win the show and leave with nothing. In fact, other people will get your prizes.

Man, I love The Price is Right. I heard there was a lot of animosity against Drew Carey when he took over... I think he's doing a pretty great job, though I can't watch very often.

You could tell he hated it at first. I haven't seen it in a while, but he was using his subtle sense of humor to insult the contestants and would be unenthusiastic about the games.

Was there a channel that showed old game shows? I remember watching Password and Family Feud and the one where they had to fill in a blank in a sentence and match it with Charles Nelson Reilly all day at one point in my life.

It's pretty impressive to see a person who can do that. I've seen some people who have tried to do similar things

Like a certain forumer who stands in front of one of those arcade games where you try to get the lights to stop at the right spot so he wins all the tickets and practices hitting the button before putting in a coin. Tossrock

"Big Bucks: The Press Your Luck Scandal"

I don't even know if it's possible to find somewhere. It was a GSN made-for-TV documentary which showed most of his run, in addition to going into how he did it, and even bringing back the old contestants he played against and giving them the info he had to see how they would do.

I think the best part of the whole story of Michael Larson is when his brother took his place on the new Whammy and still beat the other two contestants.
As part of the commemoration, Larson's opponents from 1984 were invited back to be contestants on Whammy! The All-New Press Your Luck playing against Larson's brother James (because Michael Larson himself had died by this time), with Peter Tomarken returning to host the question round. Despite the fact that the new board was now truly random due to advances in computer technology, and there was no way either Michael or James Larson could have pulled off the same trick, Larson's old opponents still lost. In fact, in the first round, when James Larson hit the Big Bank space, Ed Long proceeded to joke with host Todd Newton that he had seen this before. James Larson also imitated his brother during the first spin round with his "go on" gesture (hand in the air, pointing repeatedly at the board, or revolving both his arms), and his silent demeanor, only yelling "STOP!"

one guy is up front, and one hundred dudes sit in numbered boxes

each question, the one hundred people get like three seconds to key in an answer, and the guy up front gets to talk his reasoning out to bob saget and then pick an answer

for every one of the "mob" who gets a wrong answer and is eliminated, the guy up front gets some money, and he has the opportunity to take his money away after every question

if he gets a wrong answer, he gets nothing and his money is split among the remaining members of the mob

    No human drama
    No manufactured suspense
Just questions, as fast and as many as possible within the time available
And if you know the most and are the fastest you will win
