Yeah, there's like 6 live versions of songs on there, which is pretty awesome, even if I don't care for some of the songs. I'm gonna have to figure out where the live Scatterbrain is from because at the moment I am not sure.
I hate to get in on this kind of debate, but thus far DJ Hero seems hugely inferior to Scratch: The Ultimate DJ. The controller seems far more abstract for no good reason, and from all the gameplay videos I've seen it's far, far less functional overall.
But yeah, I think I'm still seeing spots in my vision after seeing that box art. Unique is one thing, but it takes a few seconds to spot "DJ Hero" among the absurd amount of visual clutter.

I wonder if both tracks are actually there - or if these are mixes that are pre-done and unchangeable. Because I'm yet to hear any "plink plong" like when you miss notes on guitar hero. Like, I wonder if I would fail the song, if I just left the fader on one side and let the other song play.
Because if it is the real tracks, and the on-screen notes and stuff are simply there because they're scoring you on emulating a mix someone made, that means there could be a 'freestyle' mode where I can dick around and make my OWN mixes. Which would be an instant sell.

I very nearly bought GHWT at Costco (only $149) but stopped myself when I remembered GH5 was coming out. But for the life of me, I can't find any pre-order info on GH5 with the drum kit. Is that info out yet? It's only a month away but I can't find jack shit on the cost of the full bundle or whether I can pre-order it.
Even the RedOctane store doesn't list a drum kit bundle. I'm wondering if I'm just better off buying the GHWT kit and buying the game only version of GH5. At least I could play that now.

That video made me laugh. It's good advertisement, but not neccesarily for Guitar Hero. Still, after the "risky business" ads, what do we know?
Did anyone pick up smash/greatest hits? The guy I live with plays bass in game, so I got it for more to do.
From the videos i saw previously, it seemed like the songs were harder in some places and easier in others and thats the way the game played out.

For Smash\Greatest Hits (Lol, it's still GH:GH in Aus) I've found all the songs I wanted to play were just...well, annoying to play. The charts felt horribly off, there seemed to be a lot of just random patterns that were just frustrating as hell to play and overall, I didn't enjoy my GH:GH experience.
Also, I'm honestly not sure what to say to that GH:5 video...

Just watched the Shirley Manson vid. I didn't realise she was that British...intriguing. Anyway I didn't have that Garbage song in my collection but now I can happily say I've A: heard it before and B: Am very much looking forward to singing the hell out of it.
Oooohhhh shiiiiiit, Arctic Monkey's is in GH5, which could maybe mean DLC somewhere along the line as well.
I wasn't too bothered about it before, but now I look at the set list there are a load of songs I'd love to play.

Live update: Got payed today. Gonna get a mate of mine to grab Live for cheap off eBay for me. He's purchasing it Monday and it should get to him within...well, whenever the shipping time is. :P Still, it's progressing.

I just watched that Shirley Manson video, and I actually really like the way she looks in-game. They've come a long way from the weirdness of Morello and Slash in 3 and the creepiness of Hendrix in WT. I never did get far enough to see what Hayley Williams looked like in GT, though.

I played some GH Arcade(first I've played since 2), and I hate the charts. Too many uncomfortable triple chords. Is that now the norm?
Depends on who's making it, because GH now has several developers. Neversoft, the guys responsible for the main series, have definitely toned it down since GH3. World Tour's notecharts are pretty fun.

the green pad is becoming very un responsive, I have to hit it hard for it to register, and sometimes it works better to hit the bottom half and not the top half, what can I do to get it back to responsive condition?
