So, I know a few people that post here have been there, thought this would be worth asking.
I'm wondering how well Steam and other digital distribution services work in Iraq. Reason I'm asking is I know that Direct2Drive wouldn't let me download in Korea. Even with a US credit card/address. I guess it goes off of IP address? I'm definitely not going to mess around with like, an IP spoofer or anything, even on the commercial internet in the FOB.
If I have to use an APO address, I might get a credit card just for that. Hopefully, it works fine and I can just go on downloading same as at home. Or if one program/service works better than another one, I want to toss it on the laptop now.
If anyone had any experience on downloading games there, I'd love to hear it. Or any other gaming related deployment stuff. Thanks for the help.
