Not recently, no. We have long known that Ten was eventually coming, and people are assuming that it will be available on the same day and date as the rerelease of the album. An educated guess, but I haven't seen anything official confirming the exact date yet.

What's the story with El Scorcho anyway? I can tell it's not the album version, but just because of a very few places. It's almost exactly the same otherwise.
Nah, not crow. Just pointing out something you either completely missed or forgot about. And it puts anybody else with doubts or questions at ease (or something).
We still don't know if it will be next week's Wii DLC. I'd say they definitely are going to push for it to be on all platforms at the same time and they have managed that feat twice before. And, of course, there could always be a 'Moving Pictures Problem', but the intention is next week for sure.

I don't know. It's the master and it's classified as being from Pinkerton as far as Harmonix knows. I figure its a simple case of the vocal tracks being isolated (Rivers isn't the only one who sings on the track) so they can be heard but some would argue its the demo or a re-take. There was a similar argument back when it came out and I remember being called out for such an idea.

The whole El Scorcho think stinks, because it is one of my favorite songs. They mute the first part of the bridge vocals for no reason and then harmonize differently at the end. My in-car training sessions failed me.
Now the latest 'reason' for the alternate version is that Papa Roach re-recorded the song so that former drummer Dave Buckner can't get any performance royalties for it. Quite the drama...

It makes me want to start a mock thread over there about the "alternate take" of some other song.
But then I ask myself, why bother?
EDIT: I went to go look at the monstrosity of a thread due to work downtime and had a big laugh at the tags at the bottom of the thread:
a tropical resort, cry with your boots on, cut my song into pieces, demand a new last resort!, don't buy last resort, dont buy it, final resort xiii, guitar hero world resort, he sounds fat., hop on the whaaambulance, i am very sad, i'm crying!, last resort, needs to be remastered, not hmx's fault, redundant thread, skittles, studio magic is fun!, tell me i'm fine, this song is ass, waffles into pieces, walt disney world resort, whaaaaambulance, whining, whining is fun though, why??!?!
I'll have to look that up. I never heard of the blokes/girls.
I was thinking more something like I Mother Earth in the Edwin years.
Hell, I'd even go for some Our Lady Peace, Tea Party, Moist, The Watchmen, The Hip...
What was mainstream in the 90s.
Hell yes. I would love to see them throw some Our Lady Peace in there.
Though, it'd be torture to hear my friends try to sing them...
I want to see how HMX would chart out the weird noises Raine makes all the time...
'hee-iii-eeee' or whatever.
It be worth it for nothing more than exactly that! Great music though - I'd love to rock out to Superman's Dead, or any number of other songs on that particular disc.
For the same general time period, Tonic could be a lot of fun too, even if they tend more towards ballads then outright rock.
I just caught up on downloading some dlc today. it's amazing how fast those points disappear.
No kidding. I had Rock Band hooked up for the first time in six months last weekend. 2000 points disappeared very quickly.
How did you make it six months without playing? It is an anomaly if I make 6 days.
Broke up with my ex, she moved downstairs where the theater is. I moved the consoles up into my bedroom, but there was no room (nor really a desire) for Rock Band.
She moved out a few weeks ago, and I got the theater back into shape, including replacing a blown projector bulb. Rock Band was set up post haste.

Fair enough, this I can understand. Welcome back.
So Ten is next week. I am more excited than I should be. I have kinda been over PJ for a good long while but I have a feeling most of the tracks are going to be a lot of fun on most instruments.

I'm torn on Ten. I love the album, and I'll definitely buy at least a few tracks, but I'm not sure if I want the *whole* album. I'll end up having a disproportionate number of PJ songs.
doing good dude, you already had chicks over for a rock out too.
would anyone like to help me with the multiplayer achievements sometime? I don't have regular people to play with beyond nubs at the rare and random rock band party.

I dunno, maybe I feel that my spacebucks/HD space are precious and as such I need to be picky about my songs. These songs are pretty much guaranteed to give the biggest bang for the buck while giving me the quintessence of the album. They'll be well known at parties and have no shortage of challenging and fun note charts.
What's the story with El Scorcho anyway? I can tell it's not the album version, but just because of a very few places. It's almost exactly the same otherwise.
I know that Weezer has actually gone back and re-done songs that were already released so that newer versions of the album contained a different version of the song than the original. El Scorcho may be one of these. They definitely did it with the Green album.

So I'm trying to make the jump on drums from Medium to Hard, and double kicks are the bane of my life. Is there a particularly good song to practise them on, or am I just going to have to keep throwing myself at their merciless feet?

Lots of punk bands have done this - since usually their earlier songs are on indie labels, some of which had really shitty recording capabilities.

I am pleased to announce that next week's DLC offering is Pearl Jam's Ten, making a full album alongside the track "Alive" which appears on the Rock Band 2 disc. We will be announcing next week's Wii offering on Monday.
Once
Even Flow
Why Go
Black
Jeremy
Oceans
Porch
Garden
Deep
Release
Master/Slave
$1.99 (160 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) per track
$17.99 (1440 Microsoft Points for Xbox 360) for the album
Edit: OK, is it just me (as in did I not import all of Ten into my iTunes) or are the last two songs, Release and Master/Slave, not on the original Ten? Am I missing something here? It's probably just me...

Ten features a two-part track entitled "Master/Slave" that both opens and closes the album. The first part begins the album, before "Once" starts, and the second part closes the album, after "Release". It begins about ten seconds after the album's closer "Release" as a hidden track, but both count as one track on the CD. The song is entirely instrumental (except for random unintelligible words Vedder utters throughout) and a dominant bass line persists in the song, along with some guitar and sounds that seem to come from the drums. Producer Rick Parashar stated in 2002, "As I recall, I think Jeff had, like, a bass line...I heard the bass line and then we kind of were collaborating on that in the control room, and then I just started programming on the keyboard all this stuff; he was jamming with it and it just kind of came about like that."
Edit: OK, is it just me (as in did I not import all of Ten into my iTunes) or are the last two songs, Release and Master/Slave, not on the original Ten? Am I missing something here? It's probably just me...
It's kind of surprising that Master/Slave is being included for DLC. Maybe surprising is the wrong word... Unexpected. Still I only expect to end up getting the first five songs on that list since I've never cared much for anything after Jeremy.
Also, I'm thinking the three bonus tracks are going to be 'exclusive' for a while similar to the OXM songs. It makes a kind of sense to hold off on wide releasing them for a bit to have more content for a different week.
I should also think they'll be releasing Ten for the Wii as well.
Yeah, thanks...my bigger problem now is, how did I not remember all that before looking it all up? I've listened to this album hundreds of times, easily.
I...I think maybe I'm getting old.
And why the hell did I leave Release off my iTunes...just cause it had a hidden song? Stupid younger Tog...

That's okay, I've known many folks who got impatient over songs/tracks that lasted longer than five minutes. There's no shame in having ADD.

I've always had the same feelings for Ten. I'm always pumped to listen to it, play the first half, then get past Jeremy and feel my interest fading. I might just pick up Evenflow, Jeremy and Black and call it a day.

See, this is a trick. You're trying to get me to accept this explanation, and then you'll shove it in my face that my favorite band is Tool who are known for 10+ minute long songs and how my artsy prog-rock love is now exposed as utter pretentious bull-shit.

Wait, wouldn't this exception make all of Pearl Jam's songs instrumental?
OH SNAP!
I see what you did there.
And I approve.
That's pretty awesome that Master/Slave is being included as a single track. It would have been weird playing Once with that opening. There's only a few songs I'll want to get from this, but I have to admit that I'm excited. While I'm totally sick of listening to Alive, I love to play it. I'm looking forward to more guitar goodness. I'll most likely go for Even Flow/Once/Porch/Jeremy/Black. Of course, I should just buy the album at that point.
