Helo runs up to the bridge with this fantastic plan; he's finally figured out a safe location where the fleet can stop and rest for a while.
Next question is whether we'll ever see a human victory that doesn't include Laura Roslin; I think I showed her a Cylon Attack card on 5 out of seven turns, leading to six of the bottom seven cards in the crisis deck being Cylon Attacks.
Also, opinions on the No Sympathizer variant? Feels like it still gave a close game and avoided the shenanigans/randomness of the regular Sympathizer version. What did all of you/observers think of how it played out?
We'll get you next time, humans! Out of curiosity, what was Civilian B?
I think I probably contributed to the human victory by being a very inept cylon. I was a toaster from the beginning, but I really overestimated how long it would take to jump along. The game was halfway over before I had done anything traitorous, so I just decided to be overt about it.
That was a lot of fun. Thanks for running it, Darian.

A (1 o'clock) 1 pop
B (9 o'clock) 1 pop
C (1 o'clock) 2 pop
The one you wanted would have been E in this latest shuffle: -1 population and -1 morale. But it didn't get placed. (Not that any civilian ships ever died, anyway.)
As an observer, I would say this looked fairly balanced, as evidenced by just how close the humans were to losing. If PolloDiablo had started sabotaging earlier, this could very easily have gone the other way.
To me, balance means the fate is in the players' hands. If the losing players were doing everything right and still lost by a decent margin, then something might still need to be tweaked.
Congrats humans! You have given us hope that we might one day survive destruction at the hands of our own creations.
I swear, every time we drew a Leadership check in that game, we just said "oh, we can fail this one, let's not do it." I was hanging on to those Declare Emergencies for way too long. I think I drew one Strategic Planning that whole game, and we kept getting Tactics tests.
Pollo, if I had been you, I totally would have waited a turn or two to reveal, just using my ability to make it a bitch to get people out of the brig. Did you have the Quorum card that brigged someone? Because I really would have used that before I revealed, along with your ability it would have been a bitch to deal with.

That was really a close game! I think I was the one responsible for humanity not winning sooner on the previous FTL jump. If I had just a few more cards we could have pulled it off. However for my first game I think I did really well with card usage and choices presented to me.
Thanks for the fun game everybody! Also, thank you for hosting Darian!

That probably would have gone better. I just didn't want to pass up opportunities to mess with the fleet. I didn't get the brig quorum card, but I definitely would have used it if I had it.
Yeah, good game. Good to see the humans winning for once here on CF.
I must admit though, the humans had some pretty pro players this time around. I just wish I got my cylon card from the beginning rather than at sleeper phase, or just stayed human... But i'v always found cylon pilots harder to play than other types. Less of a chance to mess things up when i'm expected to be out in a Viper most of the time.
And, of course, lets hear it for Darian for running a smooth fun game.

Definite thanks to Darian.
We wouldn't have been able to vanquish the evil Cylons without you!
Much thanks to the GM who aided us in our holy quest to defeat the abominable Cylons and their dark machinations. I apologize for being too awesome and always drawing attack cards.

Pssh, everyone knows I'm rooting for the Cylons in these things. Just look at my avatar (thanks, Hellbunny!).
The crisis deck was ridiculous, though; every time Valkun's turn came back around, there was the next Cylon attack sitting right on top, waiting to be discarded.
