So i sold my Acer one over the internet, got paid via paypal and now the person is filling a dispute charge. They say the mouse dosn't work. It worked when i sold it and it's still under the acer warranty. On top of that they say they uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers and a few other things but it still dosn't work. How do i know they didnt break it or it wasnt damaged in shipping.
Anyway, what should i do about this? I really dont want to give a refund because it was fine when i shipped it and i have no use for the laptop now.

Was this through eBay, and do you state as-is no refunds? That is another thing you should do.
If you have the e-mail stating that they have been fiddling around with the drivers, hold on to that e-mail, and try and show to Paypal that they caused a broken mouse by messing with the drivers.
UPDATE:
He is now saying that he will accept a "partial refund", this is seeming more and more like a scam.
I donno about that, I've sought partial refunds before, because it was something I wanted and couldn't find, but was not in the condition specified at the time of sale.
Heres the million dollar question.
How long was he a member of those forums before he bought your laptop? and how many posts did he have? Paypal almost always sides with the buyer, so you better be producing evidence left and right and include information about what he's done as evidence that he could have screwed it up, and that it is still under the official warranty so a simple call to Acer that he refuses to do could solve the problem.
He send me a PM that said that he's been unloading and reloading various drivers in an attempt to solve the problem, which if he didn't load the right ones would cause the problem. This all started about 3 days after he got it in the mail and he originally said he was using it with a USB mouse that worked fine by then he switched to the trackpad and it doesn't work. I asked him if the mouse buttons worked but he didn't respond to that question. He also flat out refuses to call acer for anything reason, even just to see if it's a common problem with a common solution. I tried to call but they wouldn't talk to me without giving a serial number.
I asked him how much he would want for the "partial refund" if it's anything over $50 he can bugger off. The track pad should not cost 1/5th of the cost of the laptop.
I would do a partial refund, or any refund.
Tell him that you are not going to help or communicate with him further until he calls Acer to find out if the problem was his own doing.
I'd make a note to inform paypal and any trollhunters/moderators [if any are involved] on the forum you did the deal on of this preemtively before he can use it as a martyr stick.
Any other suggestions?
If he goes anymore, you fight it. He says he messed around with the system after he wasn't getting the mouse to work, but I know if I bought a used laptop, the first thing would I do is a complete reformat, something that could mess with the system depending on what OS he used.
There's too much conjecture here. But Paypal, from all accounts, doesn't care.
Things like this with more expensive items makes me scared to try and sell my Wii online.
However, if it were me I'd refuse to do anything until he calls Acer.
His stubborn refusal to call their support, to me, sounds a big alarm like he knows he screwed something and is trying to profit from it.
Stil, contact them about such.
