The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
The first season didn't need superpowers, because it was about the characters coming to grips with being special. After the finale they should all gained an idea of what they could do wit their powers and should have become heroes.
Parkman and DL actively tried to utilize their powers in ordinary circumstances to be heroes and still be discreet, but Peter and Niki both got returned to the beginning of season 1 cluelessness which was that season's biggest flaw. I could deal with Peter's loss of memory as it was explained, but why Niki suddenly created a third personality should never have happened. Peter was probably too powerful to be walking around being able to do anything anyway.
Niki created a third personality? When did that happen?
During the Villains flashback episode. She stops taking her meds and Jessica comes back, only this time it's not Jessica but instead a new chick called Gina who always wanted to go to Las Vegas and get high on cocaine. Then she gets D.L. killed.
Then she's never heard from again. I think.
EDIT: the only thing I don't get about the triplet angle is there's Niki, Jessica, Tracy, and then this third "personality" that goes to Las Vegas. That's four.
I think you're mixing up the sisters and the MPD. There were 3 sisters (one who's been mentioned but not shown), and one of the sisters had multiple personalities. The personality of the dead older sister was an adoptive sister, not one of the triplets.

Jesus. that's so damn confusing. It's slightly more annoying than time travel. Speaking of which, whatever happened to that Irish girl that went back(or forward) with Peter? Is she just a victim of this mess?

As per retard writer logic she has just disappeared.
we talked to Mark Verheiden about a month ago about his Heroes work. He and Bryan Fuller are basically in charge of these next 10 episodes, and he's said he's trying to get the characters back to season 1 levels of cool. Taking things back to basics in terms of character work. He wrote this episode airing on Monday.
This has me hopeful, although I haven't really seen much of Mark Verheiden's work (oh shit, he's the guy who was on the Superman comics for a bit, he wasn't too bad there). Hopefully, this volume will fix all the shit from Seasons 2 & 3 (well, Volume's 2 & 3 I guess, since this is still part of Season 3).

That's a shame. I wonder if she can even come back. She was dumped in a time stream that was a result of the virus or something, but Peter stopped the guy who was gonna spread the virus.
She in a fucking alternate reality. That's just fucked up.

I think the writer consensus is that she's not in an alternate reality, since that reality never happened. She's just gone. Like, never coming back gone.
Bear in mind, Kring and Co. seem to hold this girl in a lot of contempt for some reason, considering they are the ones that put her in this situation.

Actually, the sane logic would be she either reappeared in Ireland (because the virus never happened and she was never taken) or she is just stuck ten years in the future.
The writers, however, say she ceases to exist last I heard.

And extending that, because the virus future never happened, the entire second season never happened.
Unfortunately, I'm not seeing improved stories coming back with Fugitives. According to Wikipedia, Sylar spends the first four episodes searching for his real father because there's no way he's the son of a watchmaker. His father is probably gonna be HRG or something else equally dumb.
Well, it's more because he's a trusting moron and Angela told him she knew who his real father is before he got shard of glass'd in the finale of volume 3. Now the appropriate arc here is that she was lying to him and once he realizes this he gets pissed and starts killing Petrellis (neatly solving roughly half the show's problems). But instead we'll get some stunt casting and a tremendously retarded power from his "real dad."

For selfish reasons I'm hoping the show gets worse or just continues to be terrible. This is because I stopped watching it after the first half of the Season 3 premiere and now I get jollies by reading about how bad tha show is in this thread.

Just as long as you're not one of the people who watches it only so they can poop all over the thread with their complaints.
As dumb as characters on this show have been in the past, I *STILL* cannot get past what the fuck Nathan is thinking in suddenly deciding to round up all the super-powerful people in the world and put them in one goddamn place.
His motivations make even *less* sense than Volume 3's "we must make our own dangerously powerful people, but give them government backing, so that they can fight the other dangerously powerful people".

Here you go: Nathan is a twat with both mommy and daddy issues.

True enough. I'm still pissed they let him live after the end of season one, honestly.
Nathan's motivations make a twisted kind of sense... his first job was making it so everyone has abilities, and with that failing he wants to make sure no one has abilities. Either way, he's about leveling the playing field.

Nathan is trying to reach the throne of whatever side he is on at the moment. Unfortunately, like the other Patrelli son he is not smart about it. It takes mommy and/or daddy to make him #1 and that makes him look like a weasel.
Just when you think he has grown a pair the same old shit happens and he is a puppet for whoever. I hope worf makes him do funny stuff at least.

I hope they just kill him for real this time. I could deal with him coming back the first time, but I didn't like it. He became a better character in S2 and shooting him was awesome and gave him a martyr's death, but apparently they had to save him again. Now he's become a giant asshole like he started as and he needs to actually die in the act of redeeming himself. Or, in a better twist, if he becomes the big bad of the season and quits being the bitch boy for the big bad. Really I just want Nathan to die.

My wish for the second half of this season is for them to completely write Mohinder out of this show.
He's quite possibly the worst, dumbest scientist I've ever seen on TV. Shooting HRG was bad enough, but season 3 just turned him into a fucking cartoon mad scientist.
Of course, he's pretty, so he's there to stay.

I will laugh so hard if they manage to contradict parts of the first half of season 3 during the second half. But no matter how little sense the overall story makes it's still entertaining so I'll be watching every week and be disapointed by gaping plot holes.

Oh come on, they'll do that in the previously on Heroes section somehow. Certainly by the time the Heroes eclipse thingy happens.

Man not this again. Given that time travel paradoxes never make any sense in the first place, I don't get why people get so upset that the writers chose one of the many terrible options. If you think that when the future was changed, she and Peter would have teleported into the new future instead, then that creates another paradox because Peter would never have learned about the virus, thus changing his actions when he goes back so that he doesn't prevent the virus in the first place...
Im trying to watch this again because Im bored at work. I will not be shitting all over it, but I did leave it back after Season 1 because I stopped liking it.
So this isn't sarcastic, it's a real question - Did they just drop Parkman's pregnant wife from Season 1?

God damn Mohinder is stupid. It seemed at first like he must have felt secure because he was in on it, but he really thought that they would hunt down all the other specials and never find him?

Parkman left her, supposedly because the baby wasn't his(though in his nightmare it's implied that maybe it was?).
