Getting DLC for XBox without connecting it to the internet

I wanted to download some DLC for my 360, but because of the weirdness of my current internet set-up, the 360 cannot connect to the internet. If I purchase DLC from this site, is it possible to then transfer it to the XBox? Or will I need to take the XBox somewhere else, and download it there?

The reason I don't try it myself is that I don't want to pay for something and then not be able to use it

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this thread, and thanks for your help.

Doesn't the site just link to your live account, and you can't really download it till your xbox is on live? The best and sounds like easiest in your situation would be take the 360 somewhere you can download and grab it from there.

Well, when you sign in, you get an option to buy it. I wasn't sure if there was some way to buy it, download it, and put it on a USB or something.

I don't think Microsoft would like that since you could in theory let friends borrow said USB and get the content for free, or split the fee. But I have never tried it, just how I assume it works.

I was thinking that, since I've signed in on the site, it might only allow the DLC for that account. But I don't know if that's right, which is why I'm not going to buy it until I know it will work.

The only way to get DLC to work on a console is that you have to downlad it to the console. You could in theory download it to another console and transfer it via memory unit, but then you'd have to be signed into live to play it anyway, as you can't ransfer the licenses over without the 360 being connected.

So basically, yea, you need a connection to the internet to be able to get the DLC.

All that marketplace.xbox.com does is let you queue up content so that the next time your Xbox signs in, it'll kick off the download.
