Is it just me or is the coloring job pretty good in this one.

Also, is that supposed to be Moses or something?

Considering the rave reviews KZ2 has been getting, especially regarding the multiplayer which is an amalgamation of all that is good in multiplayer gaming today, and the beautiful-in-spite-of-its-own-generic-setting graphics I wouldn't be shocked to see that Gabe and Tycho think this is the game to bring the PS3 to the promised land.

Also so all the posts on the first god damn page aren't retards asking for an explanation:
Panel 1: A slave dragging a heavy brick to build the pyramids. The brick is amusingly replaced with a PS3.
Panel 2: Moses calling on god to prove to his beleaguered people that there is hope, there is a promised land. A chuckle-inducing Helghast mask has been placed upon his head.
Panel 3: Parting the Red Sea. The sea of X-Boxes. They are red because it's that time of the month.

I still think it's kind of a weird analogy for them to be hauling around ps3's... I don't remember the slaves in Egypt dragging around large objects pertaining to their own religion.

    But it is purrty indeed.

US demo is being released on the 26th because Gamestop are a bunch of cocksmokers, but you'll be able to get it on the 5th if you make an EU PSN account (which is basically googling for a European address and putting it in the create new account info boxes.)

bwanie it is a metaphor for the toil of PS3 owners in the early days when games of such quality made themselves known only to the most pious of believers. In the PS3's first year, when the 360 was awash in quality exclusives including GoW, there were only 2-3 exclusives worth playing; those exclusives weren't system sellers by any means. The rest was cross-console garbage. Games like Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank and Uncharted didn't start coming out until Q3 2007.

not my point, but still a good explanation of the comic.

My initial confusion was that the slaves are dragging around ps3's. If i enslave someone you can bet your ass it will be MY preferred hilariously oversized console they'll be dragging around, not their own.

my guess is that they are not actually saying Killzone 2 is a gift from God, but is being advertised as such.

to part the red ring of death sea and bring our people to freedom and bla bla bla Sony is so fucking pumped for this [strike]Halo[/strike]bad-game-streak killer

According to Gamerankings KZ2 is just below Chrono Cross and just above Rock Band.

Metacritic places it just below CoD4 and just above Bioshock PS3 version.

I'd say it's in pretty good company

I mean the only console I own is a Wii and it's not even hooke up.

PC gaming is still where it's at, yo's.

But I mean the point remains that pretty much every big-budget title that has come out for PS3 has been a "JUST WAIT IT'LL SHOW YOU ALL" and this one's actually getting reviewed not poorly and will probably sell pretty damn well. It's probably not going to turn the console around, but at least it's not Lair

The first panel gives context to the two panels that follow. Looking back you may want to have him dragging something else, but it would really only serve to confuse people further. Why is he dragging a ___?

And then Moses was the Helghasts.
