    Wiimod.

But okay, I'll send Gabe an email since he replies most of the time.

With WiiConnect24 I can see them doing a Steam sort of thing with the Wii. Constant updates and the like. The Wii's tiny onboard memory may have issues with that though.

someone with a hotline to Gabe, get on this stat. You know it makes all kinds of awesome sense.

I could imagine they'd get a 3rd party to port stuff to the Wii but I doubt they'd do anything themselves.
no no, i don't mean porting a game, since i imagine some bits would work, some really wouldn't. I'm thinking an actual, official title developed entirely with the Wii in mind. Hell, Gabe seems optimistic enough for its success, why wouldn't Valve want to get one of their titles spread that far and wide? Might even open up a new market for their pc games.

It just seems to me that they'll be busy for quite some time with all the episodic HL2 stuff they're making. Hopefully they'll take a break between episodes and make something though. I'd like to see that.

For the EP2/Portal/TF2 bundle it will cost $39.99. This is only available on PC.
Is that the only option? I'd want Portal in addition to EP2, but I don't really want TF2.

Ah, that makes more sense. One of the draws of Steam is being able to purchase individual items (that you can't get in shops).

And yes, I'm not a fan of multiplayer, never played TF etc.; just doesn't figure for me.

With Steam, you always seem to be able to buy everything by itself, but I bet it will be something like $20 apiece, or some such nonsense.

    HOLY CRAP

    Sneaky valve!

When launching Race - WTCC on steam...
Your installation and use of this game is subject to Eidos' terms of service and Eidos' privacy policy as well as those of its partners. The Eidos' privacy policy can be found at http://www.eidos.co.uk/privacy.html.

If you install and play this game you will receive advertising messages that appear within and in context with the game environments to enhance the realism of the game. To provide this functionality, technology developed by IGA Worldwide, INC. has been integrated into the game. This technology will automatically deliver location-based advertising and log and transmit certain information about your interaction with the advertising. If you do not wish to receive contextual advertising messages, do not play this game while connected to the Internet.

The IGA Worldwide, INC. privacy policy can be found at www.igaworldwide.com/privacy.html

I didn't know Race - WTCC Game featured ingame IGA ads, and I was so eager to try the game out.

Well I guess CS1.6 isn't the first game supported by valve/steam to feature IGA.

Ok ok ok ok ok, so I downloaded the new Steam and then it suddenly stopped working, it would show up in system processes but wouldn't start up, so I was like "Whatevs". Today I decided to upgrade TuneUp Utilities 2004 to 2007 and inbetween uninstalling 2004 is installing 2007 Steam started working, coincidence or would it be unsafe to continue installing TuneUp?

Hey guys answer anyone? I'm using Windows right now with the default theme and it's doing wonders for my eyes.

There's no known connection, and I've had TuneUp for ages with no Steam issues. Probably a coincidence. Either way, if installing TuneUp broke anything, presumably you could just uninstall.

It's the same company that does the ads for BF2142 (IIRC). As far as I know they'll just check your IP address to know where you are.

I wonder if it was Simbin or Eidos that decided to add IGA? I guess it was Simbin. Aparently GTR2 has IGA in it. At least they dropped support for starforce after GT Legends and too bad they didn't drop starforce before GT Legends. At least both games reflect IGA in their initial price, unlike some.

Games that come packaged with Starforce at Retail aren't packed with Starfoce through Steam right?

I'm having second thoughts about buying DreamFall from any source now, since I heard it was packaged with Starforce in at least one version/region.

Have you got, like, a shortlist?

Or a boxed copy of any of the games in the account, with the CD key? You could ask Valve to send the owner of the account tied to that key an email with the login details.

To be fair I had it to login by itself, so I've not had to use them in ages. It's just cause I recently got a mac, and forgot to think about what my login details were before letting my sis took and wiped my system.

I don't regularly use different email addresses. BBut I'm not sure which one I used for this, and even then, I'm not sure what the password is. I have a good idea.

    I have no boxed copies.

Hmm, just thought of something it might be... I'll try logging in a gain in a second.

Would valve be able to do anything if I gave them the details of the card I used?

Have you ever reset your password before? If you have and are pedantic about keeping your email, the information is always the same. You'd think they would send out a different key to go with the question each time but they don't. Also, if you even remember the login name, you can use it and just check every email account you have.

It's better in the same way that CS:S is better than 1.6. Graphically, it is far superior. However, it feels different. I suggest you try it out before you get it. I, or somebody else, could send you a guest pass.

It feels far, far different. Plenty of people seem to like it, but I've found that it feels rather strange.

The movement speed makes it feel like it should play fast, but the recoil on the weapons and your inaccuracy while moving quickly makes it feel like it should play slow. In reality, it's... both.

It's been a while since I played the original DoD, but I didn't remember it feeling so off. It's probably just me, though.
