Also, the last level of the base Painkiller game is the best depiction of hell in anything ever.

Black Mesa source looks pretty cool. The trailer really reminds me of CSI though. The last shout should have totally panned back to a hand holding a crowbar.

Agreed. That was an impressive level. The aesthetic was great, but even the intent behind what you have to do was amazingly well thought out.

By the way, I never managed (even though I got all the tarot cards), but if you beat the first four chapters in Trauma difficulty you get a secret ending:

Spoilers, I guess, though it's really kind of tame. Still, good to watch:

I wasn't a fan of the singleplayer game but 1v1 multiplayer was really great. I hope all the competitive mod stuff works properly over Steam.

I thought it was awful at first.

Once you get 4 or 5 levels in, it really starts to pick up. And the expansion too.

I mean, that asylum level alone was awesome. And Hell itself - the concluding level - is worth getting through the entire game for.

I'm pretty sure, I bought the store collector edition, got a key with it for multiplayer, punched that key in and it added both mp and sp to my steam list. It actually causes a bit of confusion, because if you screw up like I did, you end up with 12 GB of DMoMM because it installs it twice. Thats from my collectors edition experience though.

Yeah, when Dark Messiah copies itself to to Steam from the normal installation, it doesn't remove the original install. Hence, you can get the game taking up 2x or 3x the space it should, apparently. This happened to me, too, and I decided to just remove it from Steam since I would never be playing multiplayer anyway.

As far as I can tell, no. I bought M2TW for Christmas, well after it was released on Steam, and I haven't been able to add it to the Steam games list.

I'm weak. I bought Painkiller even though there are a lot of cool games coming out soon.

I played the demo when it came out, and liked it a lot, and was kind of excited by a old school shooter with cool ambiance and weapons.

I guess I don't have too many regrets for how much it cost, but still, I'm weak.

I installed the demo. I feels a lot like Quake 1. If the gun were centered you could almost mistake the two (except for the improved graphics and better physics of course).

I also just bought Psychonauts this morning too. I've played through the game twice. But I figured it was time to return my friend's copy and get my own.

Does anyone know if the Dreamfall demo out there on the interwebs has Starforce on it?

Well I'm glad I tried it out. The game isn't really my cup of tea. The controls are frustrating and so is the combat. Why do you even need combat in an adventure game anyways?

I'll just wait for something like Runaway 2 instead.

It's kind if hit and miss for all of us to be playing at once. Maybe once a month coupled with a few consecutive days here and there.

However, a lot of us still play semi regularly.

Wow, painkiller looks and plays awesomely on my new computer. And that Might and Magic demo? It's incredible. I love it, it's the most fun i've had in a long long time. So is that game totally worth purchase? Cause i'll probably pick up painkiller at my store for 10 dollars.

Not the super gold edition. The 10 dollar version is just a smattering of levels from the game, kinda like old timey shareware that gives you a 5th of the game.
