I just bought a logitech G5 and I was wondering if I should buy teflon tape for the skates on the bottom. I use a glass mousepad and I am not sure if it will wear down the mouse.

Glass should be even nicer than fabric yes?

If it starts wearing down you can always put skates on it later.

    I love my G5

The pads a mouse comes with are generally Teflon. If those start wearing down, go ahead and get the skates, but otherwise you shouldn't need.

I've had my G7 for more than a year, and I've had no need for the skates. With my previous mouse, I needed 'em, but this one has been great. I use an aluminum gaming pad.

I don't believe it - I'm on my THIRD PS3, and my FIRST XBOX360. What the heck?

yeah i use some kind of hard plastic mousepad that came with a computer years ago. ive had my g5 for a long ass time and i havent had to do anything to it. the only time it misbehaves is when the mousepad gets some dirt caked on it.

I've had my G5 for about 4 years now and use no extra pads with a fUnc mouse pad and its holding up great. The only addition I made was a mouse bungee for the cord.

?Yeah, the only problem I have with it is the cord being nylon.
