It depends, I've seen a few keep sieges broken up by a bunch of people in the next Tier, and that pisses me off to no end. I know that's just good organization on some level, but it really takes away from the competitiveness when you just have your big brother ruin people's shit for you.

Seriously. Core isn't a PvE server or some shit.
They are servers meant to have protections against lame things like that.
I'm probably going to resub this Sunday so I was wondering a couple things. Mostly, I used to be in T6M, is that guild still going, maybe a low level alt guild (think my witch elf was 18ish)? Also, how are WE these days? Still painfully crappy in keep sieges?

Next patch is fixing lockpicking, which should be quite interesting.

for me it's quite simple
on core servers there seems to be less rvr whether in scen or open
so for me, open server is worth the occasional gank because I don't have to wait 2 hrs for a scen to pop or go solo objectives

I had considered this but back when I played, there was endless bitching abut how WE were superior to WH in about every way.

That's because the helmets are chokers that cover the neck fully, so it doesn't look unnatural. If they stood any other way, they'd clip through their armor. When the armor covers them, you won't be able to tell.
Also you will look like a borg.
You can see the armor covering the whole neck from the chest to the chin in that shot.

Ouch. I lost a half dozen scenarios in a row due to *awesome* healing on the other side, tonight. The last had a rank 5 Archmage kicking out 14k... about the total on Destruction side.
On a related note, Magi are really, really, really squishy. If the other side wants you dead, you're dead.

Have you tried it since the ORVR change? While weekends were lazy to start off, I spent the entire last week in RVR lakes, with multiple warbands on each side.
Well, I had a good run today. Got all 10 of the event missions done, got a whole bunch of those achievements done too. I only have a few left, but I'm still satisfied how I did today. Got to renown rank 7, got to rank 8. Got myself a nice piece of set armor (a longcoat). And it's all on order side on a core server. Badlands. So, who would I contact to get into the order guild?
Any DCers making a dedicated Chosen? I got a lvl 19 blue helm for you if you are. I looked on the spreadsheet and the one person listed as chosen has a magus on the same server, same level range. Don't know if I should send it if they are not maining the chosen.

Well, the bitching is still there and it's still true.
Witch hunters are actually getting nerfed in the next patch. Not that hard, but they're still getting nerfed. For some stupid non-sensical reason. If there's two classes that don't need nerfs, it's witch hunters and squig herders and they're nerfing at least one of them.

E.V.E.R.Y.B.O.D.Y. is getting nerfed without regard for the individual classes power or not. This is not a class patch, it's something else. You'll have to wait for the patch focused on your class I bet.
However, if everybody is getting reduced.... well you can't really look at your class and whine, because your class is not alone. It's not a nerf if everybody else gets brought down equally is it.
There's a lot of system wide changes in that patch, and a lot of changes equally hitting similar archetypes. Not all are equal, but overall the feeling is of the focus being on something other than each individual class.
I'm pretty much holding every "woe is me" call worthless until everybody has got at least a week of gameplay under their belts. Sorry if that offends, I just see the changes as too widespread to easily make a call on, especially when most people are only really looking at their own class and that classes mirror.

It's not really pure nerfs for everything.

I switched to Path of Vaul from Path of Khaine on my sword master because I got annoyed with the lack of healers in scenarios. I just wish there was a way to use a great sword and still gain the benefits of blocking, because sword masters just look wrong with a sword & board (like just make a great sword that has the benefits of a shield, but only does standard sword damage).
On the plus side, I love running into a group of enemy players and watching them attempt to kill me only to be met with so many absorbs and blocks they don't know what to do.
Idle curiosity- are WPs as frustrating to fight as DoKs? Not bitching about nerfs or anything, more looking for confirmation that the other side also has players going "ah, fucking bullshit, how can a non-dedicated healer just outheal MDPS damage!". ;-)
Gah, sorry I haven't been on. I had that calculus test yesterday, then I was forced (yes, FORCED...forced with the lure of free sushi and beer) to volunteer in a kindergarten class as Zero the Hero and parade myself around as a fool for the kiddies today. Obviously, it has taken copious amounts of beer to wash the shame of wearing a pair of tight fitting sweats and a cape away from my memory.
I shall be on tomorrow to healbot...errr..."support" people in T2 for scenarios or any RvR.

One time I was leveling my WP in pve when a dok came across me. He did a taunt emote to initiate a fight and I obliged. We fought it out for around 5 minutes with no end in sight and I was getting bored of it. We would simply heal ourselves up and the fight would continue.
So I did a /bow to the dok and tried to walk away. They would not let me. I then did another /box and snared then before walking away, again they chased. They sent me back a /chicken or two and tried to follow me but I was beyond their reach so they decided to flee after me. This was a mistake as I turned around and destroyed them because they had no action points or mechanic points.
This concludes my entire 1v1 experience with a dok vs wp.

The only time I ever fought a wp on my chosen, at around 18, it was a slow, slow affair. I could tell, in the same way one can tell that an iceage is about to occur, that I was going to lose.
So I snared him, knocked him away, and skedaddled.
He waved at me. I found that amusing.

you have level 21's running around in t1, ganking newbies
You had level 60s running around ganking level 30s in World of Warcraft, just because they could. That's how PVP servers work. It added to the fun.
See, but getting ganked doesn't add to the fun for a lot of people. In fact for a lot of people it detracts from it pretty severely ;-)
Well I guess that's why the industry caters to that cowardice play style.
I think for a lot of people though, the danger involved adds another level to game play. If a higher level came and killed you while you are questing, are you going to go elsewhere (if he is sticking around) or rally some people and take him out?
Servers also usually settle in and you have defenders. These are higher level folks who enjoy running around their own realms and killing gankers.
The carrot/stick analogy highlights my problem with Chosen now. ... They don't do the damage that BG do (Bane Shield props up the damage numbers)
Wait, BOs do more damage than Chosen? But Chosen are so ridiculously easier to kill...
BG. I don't think I've ever even seen a BO on the damage chart (I don't scroll down that far).
Oh, those. They're just Emo Elves With Shields in my head when RVRing.
In other news, I forgot to turn the graphics settings down for RVR the other day and spent the first minute not being able to fucking see anything as every combatant was obscured by the ground splitting into blinding white light repeatedly. Good god, there's flashy and then there's just impractical.
