Emulating Windows (Mac)

So I need a way to emulate Windows on my Mac.

I do not want to run Bootcamp, as I don't want a whole Windows version on my HD.

I really only need a way to run small programs like Autorealm or Magic Set Editor. Nothing fancy.

How can I accomplish that?

Parallels or VMWare Fusion will both do the trick. Just make sure you have gobs of RAM.

Hm, I don't really want to pay 50-80 euro just so I can make some magic cards.

Give VirtualBox a shot then, assuming you're running an x86 Mac.

    You can also try Wine.

I think you'll find there's a good reason that Parallels/VMWare cost money while all the other non-boot camp alternatives are free, though.

Also, unless you try wine, you pretty much have to have a full install of windows, be it in boot camp or a virtual machine.

im running virtual box (tho it is on windows at the moment, i havnt installed it on my mac yet) free for personal use and works great. Not quite as slick as parallels but it certainly gets the job done.

I'm on an intel iMac at work, and I'm running Windows 7 through VirtualBox. Works great.

I have actually tried running Magic Set Editor under Crossover on my Mac. Unfortunately, it did not work very well, so i can't recommend that route.
