I thought the issue would be full size with those pin ups as a bonus. It's really only 12. You could probably find all the pages online, especially with what Robos posted last week.
Also,
Hawkman, Hawkgirl and Atom's appearance makes no sense if Black Hand ripped out Bruce Wayne's skull from the grave

Well Hawkman and Hawkgirl make sense if they had died during FC, because so are the rest of the characters whose names are on the page.

They didn't die, and neither did Atom (Ray) that I remember. So that was kind of weird. Unless they are to fly by, see this happen, and are then killed off in Blackest Night like Johns always does to establish a baddie as a threat.
He doesn't want a big ceremony, so he has an unmarked grave
And let's be honest where would he want his remains buried?
It's a bit silly to claim that Bruce Wayne isn't dead right after a fresh, unmarked grave has been added next to his parents'. Also, it's a Bat-shaped grave, and superheroes are always visiting it. Maybe we should ask Batman about that? Oh wait, he's dead too.

I know they didn't die. But if this was written awhile ago, Johns might have thought they did.

Look at me
Not giving a shit about comic book logic that we know doesn't really matter
Also the Batman grave, I read that again, he just dug up the skull
So maybe that's going to be the battery? That would be a little fucked up, using Batman's skull for a power battery
Not commenting on the other stuff, I thought the anti-moniters corpse was already the power battery.

that's powering their central power battery, yeah!
but what if all of their little lantern power batteries are actually skulls that end up getting empowered to pull from their CPB
(sort of hate the idea but....)

That makes sense actually. Powering the ring via the remains of the dead. Although Black Hand in one inked page for BN #0 was licking/eating the skull, but that could be because he's a necrophiliac as Johns alluded to in Secret Origins (which really, come on Geoff. Not cool.)
There's a central battery on Oa/Qward/the other homeworlds, but at least the GLC and the SC have their own power sources that draw power from the central

Batman had a corpse in the present. After he was hit with Darkseid's Omega Beams, his body was left behind, all burnt and shriveled. Everybody thinks he's dead, while in reality his soul is traveling through alternate dimensions and past lives or something due to the Omega Effect. His friends likely gave his present-day body a burial somewhere, and that's what is being dug up. It'll be interesting to see if he can actually be turned into a Black Lantern, or if it won't work because his soul is elsewhere.
Batman's body was fired off into space in FC #7. That's how he ended up back in time at the end.
I'm assuming Johns thought Hawkman and Hawkwoman were dead because that was Morrison's intention in FC, until he has overriden by DiDio in interviews after FC #7 came out.
but notice crimsondude said "back in time" and i said "another world" because who the fuck knows what happened in any issue of final crisis
it looks like the general consensus around the dcu concerning the fallout of final crisis is "darkseid tried to take over and j'onn + batman died and maybe some other stuff happened but uhhhhhh fuck it"
I'm fairly certain you see Batman's body under Jason Todd's mattress in the last issue of BFtC

There's also a general consensus I think that Batman is alive in the past but left behind a smoking corpse
Which is what was buried
And from Barry and Hal's conversation I wouldn't be surprised if he was buried as Batman and Wayne will just be announced as dead
Why would you put a corpse in a time capsule? You'd get corpse juice all over your other stuff, and lord knows you'd freak out whomever opened it.
Goddamn thats a great idea, i want to have my corpse spring loaded and forced into a time capsule when i die, so i may scare the living crap out of future generations.

It's a character from the past you don't know about.
I'm assuming that Batman will not be part of BN. There were quite a few headstones shown in the last few panels, and everyone is assuming that it was Wayne's skull that Black Hand pulled out.
As far as the rocket in FC, it was pretty much filled with stuff and fired into the chaos of the collapsing multiverse. It found its way to Anthro's world or time- where a time/universe stranded Bruce reclaimed his utility belt from the dying Anthro.
Yes, Batman was dead. And yes, Batman is still alive. Omega Effect for the confusion.
Alls I did was photoshop all of the individual images together into one grande image, and then shrunk it down to applicable max forum width.
I still owe Brian888 a bigger copy.
It's cool, I found the larger versions. Thanks, though.
So, I read #40, and I'm a little confused about how the Orange Lanterns work. From the "Tales of the Orange Lanterns" part at the back, it looks like an Orange Ring flies out when Glomullus is eaten and absorbed into the Orange Lantern Corps. Likewise, in the actual issue, the GL who is eaten and absorbed has an Orange Ring on his finger when he reappears. However, the Corps members are apparently only Orange Light constructs themselves. Are the constructs wearing actual rings? Do they just look like they're wearing rings, as a special effect or something, with only Larfleeze actually wearing an Orange Lantern ring? What gives?

It says he creates avatars, which makes me think the constructs might be able to make more constructs themselves.
Basically I'm saying Orange Lanterns are greedy space vampires

As far as how does he know, who knows

Hence the top of the tombstone kinda looks like the top of the bat symbol
Maybe this whole thing is supposed to be metaphorical. I mean, Why would all these people be buried in the same graveyard anyway?

So we don't add grave-digging to the list of "things Black Lanterns do"

No
He ended up back in time because of the Omega beams

Just in time to come back next summer
But given that Black Hand digs up someone out of Batman's grave, I kinda doubt it.
