What college courses to take???

I've been working full time as an Internet Sales Manager for a Toyota dealership in Idaho. Recently because of the economic downturn I voluntarily took a 40% paycut from my salary to help the company save money.

We expect that it won't be until next fall/winter until I can be full time again.

While my financial situation has become tighter, we are no where near panic yet.

Since part of my contract restructuring has also cut the hours I come into work (only here until 1pm), I have decided to use my afternoons for school at the local community college.

What I am having trouble figuring out is what to take, I already have credits to carry over from my earlier college days in regards to the basics as well as some graphic design stuff.

I'm looking for something that would lend itself well to both home theater set up, wiring, networking, full home integration, ect.

I'm not looking to necessarily earn a degree. Just get experience in topics that could lend to a greater understanding of this stuff.

I would like to eventually open my own store that would sell home theater equipment as well as games, I want to be able to install custom theaters as part of the business model. I'm aware of the ISF and THX certification courses, but I want to also learn most of the details from the ground up as well.

So what types of courses do you people in the know recommend? Any help would be appreciated.

This sounds like something you should talk to the faculty at your local community college about, as anything we might suggest might not be available or be available under a different name.

Well, if you're looking to start a business in the future, taking some small business and finance courses is probably a good way to go. As to home theater stuff, I would imagine working for a place that installs that kind of stuff would teach you more than any class could. But bad economy means nobody is probably looking for hires at those kind of places right now.

I already did speak briefly with an adviser, they where kind of confused as to what I meant with the home theater home automation stuff.

I was hoping that someone here might actually be in the business and could give me a more specific direction rather then "electronic and computer stuff".
