I'm trying to plan out next year's vacation. I've found that if I take off around Thanksgiving of next year, I'll be able to have 26 consecutive free days.
I've always wanted to see Iceland. I was planning on visiting Iceland, Norway, Denmark, and Germany. With 26 days, I think that's the most I would want to do without feeling rushed.
My issue is that I would be leaving in early November, and going through the end of the month. I know Iceland gets few hours of daylight in the winter, but I'm hoping that's early enough to still have at least 6 or so hours of daylight. Also, it's kind of a tourist off-season, which appeals to me.
It's early enough that I think the daylight hours should be mostly okay, since I won't be stuck indoors or anything during the day. How is the weather that time of year for the countries I've listed? I can deal with cold, but endless rain wouldn't be so great. Any tips from someone with firsthand experience (especially residents!) would be greatly helpful. I don't have any specific locations planned out yet, I'm just trying to figure out if this is an awesome idea or a horrible one.

In general it's quite cold, but it has gotten a bit unpredictable although mostly milder in the last few years.
I'd say worst case - 2 °C best case + 9 °C (not gonna look up Fahrenheit).
Expect rains atleast every second day.
Chanches on snowing are very very slim, unless you are high up in the mountains (bavaria).
Lenght of direct sunshine would be about 3-4 hours but you can expect atleast 6-7 hours of daylight.
This should cover general November weather.
As soon as you know where excactly you will be heading I can give you more precise and detailed information.
Rain seems to be quite predominant.
Awesome, thanks!
