Video Card woes

So I have a lappy (dell precision mobile m4300) with the Nvidia Quadro FX 360 card.

Here is the problem

Ive never had a problem rendering anything, but my frame rates are always sub-par. Does anyone know how I can fix this? I heard that increasing my V-Ran would possibly help the problem, but i don't know how to do this. I looked through the bios, and there isnt any option to change it. I know that by default the card has 256mb dedicated. Other than that I dont know what to do. Ive overclocked it, but that doesn't seem to make any difference in performance.

All suggestions are welcome

I'm going to piggy back this topic as I have a M6300 with a Quadro 1600FX that used to be a bit better at gaming but is in the dumps lately in terms of performance.

Look for "Framerate Conundrum" as some people in both those threads has some ideas/comments that might prove useful.

Any previous performance history to speak of?
