Here are the previews for Marvel's May solicits. I'll update the thread once full solicits are out tomorrow.

Marvel Universe solicits from Newsarama

EDIT: Full solicitations are up.

When he dies, I hope they write "Worst Affirmative Action Hire, EVER" on his grave. His corpse should be trolled.

Oh great, team's gonna all die.

    Anyway,
    WOLVERINE: FIRST CLASS #15
    Written by PETER DAVID
    Penciled by SCOTT KOBLISH
    Cover by DENNIS CALERO
Kitty Pryde’s got a crush, and she’s depending on Wolvie to help her get the hook-up. But what can she really expect him to do when that crush is THOR?

This could be amazing. Note the writer.

    DESTROYER #2 (of 5)
    destryr002covjy0.jpg
    Written by ROBERT KIRKMAN
    Pencils by CORY WALKER
    Cover by JASON PEARSON
    “DESTROYER,” PART 2
The clock is ticking, Destroyer's time on this Earth is coming to an end -- so his one-man mission to murder all his villains kicks into high-gear this issue. It's all-out, non-stop mayhem in that time-tested Destroyer fashion. Don't waste a bag and board -- this comic comes drenched in blood!
    32 PGS./Explicit Content ...$3.99

Hot damn. I really need to read Brit I think. Isn't Brit an angry super-strong old man who just tears monsters to pieces? I'm also really loving the idea of this being the final story arc for Destroyer and the idea that he has had a comic for the last 5 decades.

    IMMORTAL IRON FIST #26
    ironfistv2026cvrpp6.jpg
    Written by DUANE SWIERCZYNSKI
    Pencils by TRAVEL FOREMAN
    Cover by PATRICK ZIRCHER
Danny’s escape from Hell gets down to the wire! Trapped in the mystical and secret eighth city of monsters, Danny and the Immortal Weapons have to make the prison-break of a lifetime...with Davos waiting to meet them outside! But will he help them run...or shove them back to their deaths?! By Duane Swierczynski (CABLE) and Travel Foreman (ARES)!
I'm really hoping Davos is actually reforming. I would like to see a character actually experience real meaningful growth. Is that too much to ask? I sure hope not. I wonder if all of the weapons will survive The Eighth City.

    INCOGNITO #5
    incognito005covsk8.jpg
    Written by ED BRUBAKER
Pencils & Cover by SEAN PHILLIPS
Doc Lester is the mad scientist's mad scientist, and he may just be the only person who knows the truth about Zack Overkill and his twin brother...A truth that Zack will soon have to kill for, as all sides are closing in on him.
    32 PGS./Mature Content/No Ads ...$3.50

Brubaker sure knows how to heap piles and piles of problems on his protagonists. Issue 2 was really good, but the premise was so damn creepy.

Can someone please explain what's happening with Angel/Archangel?

In X-Men: Secret Invasion it looked like there were two of them... old angel and Archangel.

Jason Aaron is writing two Wolverine books? I'm thinking of getting that Weapon X thing. That's the one that is going to have Wolverine in space and stuff, right? Maybe not in space, but Wolverine's Whacky Adventures or something.

No, he's just doing a two-parter for the main title that's half and half with the horrible Dan Way Origins crossover.

I thought they went through this whole big thing about scaling down the number of X-Books like, 4 years ago. They got it down to like, two X-books... now it's ballooned back up into nonsense land.

Note, also, that the $3.99 ongoings are increasing in number (Thor, Runaways, Punisher: Frank Castle), and that price is definitely the price for all minis.

It's sort of a successor to Excalibur, which was an X title.

Why in god's name is Runaways on that list. It's had a hard enough time building a following, is putting it on the front end of a price change really a great idea?

    This is what I'm saying.

Using photo reference makes you lazy, and forget how to draw. He obviously screwed up somewhere when he couldn't photo reference the whole picture ... "oh shit, where does the neck attach to the body?"

One thing I'm a bit confused about is the status of Wolverine: Origins. With the main Wolverine book being renamed Dark Wolverine at issue 75 and being written by Daniel Way, will Origins continue? I know Way has said he can't handle over 2 books so either Origins is ending or having a new writer. Hopefully the former as there are enough Wolvie books right now.
