The new forums will be named Coin Return (based on the most recent vote)! You can check on the status and timeline of the transition to the new forums here.
The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
These guys didn't hit in in America at all but in Crumpetopia they were just as big as the Pistols, Clash, etc. They began as punkers and made a smooth transition to really gorgeous New Wave (both these songs are from the latter period).
You crazy kids and your staying up all night shenanigins. I haven't pulled a all-nighter for a long time. Chewing my way through endless tubes of Pringles, smoking like a chimney and blearily reaching for another shot of sheap whiskey while I revise for an exam and cram as much information into my brain as is humanly possible so I can splurge it all out on the page later that day.
The closest I've come in the last few years is a night out in Amsterdam for my big three-oh, and even then we had to stop drinking and go back to the dodgy hostel at half four because a friend started to get a weird rash over his face as a reaction to the amount of alcohol we imbibed.
Google should release Chrome 2: The Version Where We Polish It soon.
Yeah, I took a sort of involuntary vacation from the whole tech rat race last year, but I'm vaguely surprised that Chrome hasn't generated more heat. Is it goofy-acting? I guess that would explain it.
It's fast and has a small footprint, but does a lot of weird things. For example, right now I can't get the forum's tools menu to popup. And it gets cranky when I try to highlight things.
Oh god, then I'd hate it. I have this OCD thing where I just habitually highlight and un-highlight bits of a page that I'm reading, over and over and over again. It makes my friends want to strangle me.

The highlighting thing is a habit of mine as well sometimes. I don't do it all the time but yes, they want to kill me too...
Also I can't just hit Ctrl + i when using chrome to italicize things or otherwise use the keyboard shortcuts for post formatting... it's annoying.
Weller's later projects weren't as good, but the Style Council had some moments.
That's pretty rad! I hadn't heard much of the Style Council stuff. I'm usually leery of mentioning Weller because one time on another forum it provoked like two pages of the UK forumers going "CUNT CUNT CUNT"

I... I was doing that as I read this quote tree. Do you do the double clicking in random areas of empty space, or at the end of sentences thing as well?

My special minor OCD is to try and make things I do even-numbered, but it only usually comes out when I'm bored or daydreaming.
I do 5's. I compuslively order, stack, organize etc. things in quantities that are divisible by five.
Freaks.
I have the whole need to keep my hands busy (it's one of the reasons I don't smoke, if I did I'd have a fag in my hand pretty much 24/7), or tapping my feet if I'm still for any real amount of time. I much prefer to pace if I'm discussing something anyway.

I have a similar compulsion that always brings my hands near my face like I'm an infant. But now I have a 'stache to twirl instead of chewing on my fingertips.

In the past year or two I have developed this habit of drumming my fingers angrily on each other, or punching my palm, or clapping my hands together when I get irritated or agitated.

I don't see any musical similarities.
edit: I guess it's there just a bit vocally in some songs but not all of them. I mean as far as the ohh abloo thing goes. Yeah.

....possibly.
How old? Eons?
It's complicated, because he ages backwards in time.

I am as old as Jesus ever got.

As long as it wasn't painful the first time, yes, that's it exactly.

I uh, do that too. And because I'm clumsy it happens a lot.

How long did you manage to stay off the stuff?

Politics threads do that to me a lot.
I'm down to a pack every two weeks or so.
1) People who don't like the art in Watchmen. What the hell is wrong with them?
2) This movie Franklyn. Could it be good?
3) Jews! Or alternatively, Jews?
Death is too good for those who don't recognise the genius of Dave Gibbons.

I'm getting a bad vibe.
