Straightening out hat bill?

Is there any way to straighten out a hat bill? It was sitting in the back of my car on top of some things and doesn't look too great.

    An iron?

Hey, what's the deal with leaving all the stickers on your hat? I don't get it.

You could go to Lids and get a "cap curver" which essentially helps reform the bill into the amount of curve you want. I've never used it so I don't know if it will make it go completely straight (doubtful) but if you just want a natural curve this is an option.

Or, if you don't want to have to spend $5 right away, you could try the old rubberband and soda can trick. Take the hat, put an empty soda can under the bill, and bind a rubber band or two around the bill. Leave it that way for a few days to a week, and it should form into a desired curve.

If you have an extreme bend or break in the bill, though, you might be SOL.

It's to make it seem like you have enough money you can just wear a new hat everytime you go out. Obviously for most people that's not true at all, but leaving it in pristine condition is an attempt to make it look like you just bought it.

I have a friend that said he leaves the stickers on so if he gets tired of the hat he can take it back to the store and trade it. But yeah I have heard the whole "it looks new so it is" saying too. Course does that really work if they wear the same hat every day?

Does the trade thing actually work? I'd never try because it's terrible dishonest, but I can't imagine a story just taking back a hat without a receipt unless there's a great excuse to go with it.

On the other hand, I have no idea what a return policy of a hat story is, cos I've never tried to return any.

Another technique you might want to try, depending on what kind of hat, is getting the bill a little damp, molding it to how you want with the rubberband trick, and then letting it dry. Some people soak their caps all the way through, but I'd probably start with just a light spritz of a water bottle and work your way from there.

Seemed to work fine for him but he also kept his hats really clean so they looked pretty new anyway. I like all my hats dunno why I would give one up.

If you want it flat flat, you could just put the bill between two very heavy things and leave it for a bit, itll lay out. Dunno why the flat bill is popular though.
