Yea you got to exactly where I was (I was playing with it in photoshop), any brighter and the image starts to get flooded or becomes over exposed, so I guess this is the right levels since we both go to this point

Here's the resized version of my avatar, unlike my avatar it has not been forcibly resized. It has been tenderly and lovingly cropped. I'll work on finishing both buttons later, and I'll figure out which one to use then.

You could always go with both. Bonus buttons are all the rage.
Yeah, a variation of your avatar would be better than something... if you can't fit everything in, maybe just pick a part of your avatar and make that the button? like the skull or the "what?" word...
but really it doesnt matter... the whole point of the button exchange is to express a bit of yourself on a button. Granted it ads to the whole putting a face to the name thing when there is the avatar, but even last year it wasnt a set rule. Just have fun with it, and regardless of what you come up with, you will have tons of people who will want to trade. Personally, I like the buttons that are the most original... so I wouldnt mind having one of that flower. Yet I do agree you need to add in your name somewhere.

Their WYSIWYG editor works for my buisness. I now need to find merchant services.
Anyone ever dealt with FoxyCart?

For the flower one, you'll definitely want to do at least an outline on your words so they're easier to read.
It's pretty easy. I found a few tutorials just searching "photoshop outline text" but that should get you started.
Also, you should probably have the picture bleed over the inner circle, so it'll wrap nicely, around the edge of the button.

I agree about the vertical text, but the flower one isn't too bright for text, there are areas which are dark, and since it came from a larger image, if you were to re align it, the there would be a lot more opportunity for these darker areas to be on the button. it would probably make for a better/more interesting composition also.
Updated designs. I'm thinking of just using the second design here as a bonus button with no text. I definitely like that over the first one which is just the original repositioned, and without text.

A few suggestions for that though... the text looks really good IMO. What could be a really tacky text effect actually works out very well with your design. Kinda looks like chalk which fits in with that awsome graffiti...
