So wen't and helped my parents get a new computer, as well a wireless router. After some trouble shooting and the help of a friend, everything is up and running.

Then I tried to help my mom get Itunes for her new Itouch she just bought.

Install it, open it up, and we get a problem.. here is a screen cap of the error message.

Edit: Sorry the pic didn't work the message says "itunes could not connect to itunes store. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and and your network connection is active.

The computer is a HP PC, with vista and connected via a wireless adapter. We trouble shooted with Apple Customer Service for two hours, everything they did reinstalled it, still doesn't work. The old computer however can connect to iTunes, its not wireless but connected to the router via an ethernet chord.

Sooo not sure what to do now, Apple couldnt figure it out, any ideas?

So I'm assuming you're able to connect to the Internet normally via a web browser on this new PC, and the issue only occurs when iTunes attempts to connect?

Have you tried Googling the error and seeing if any assistance or solutions can be found through support forums?

Also, is iTunes allowed to access the Internet through your firewall?

Check your firewall's allow/deny program list. I've heard Norton Internet Security can do some funky things with iTunes, are you using Norton?

Also, check your proxy settings in Internet Explorer's connection settings, if you are indeed using a proxy.
