Can all the Beasts that read the forum send me a PM with how satisfied they are with the direction of the guild and any other comments they'd like me to hear?

    Thanks bunches.

    Morons will be morons.

The best thing to do, I find, is to take it to whispers and politely give them a few pointers, whether it be on gear, rotations, spec, or just saying "google 'elitist jerks' and read the class guide there".

The ones who are intelligent but uninformed will thank you for it; and the morons will mouth off at you by saying "omgs I kno how to play, stfu noob", which is your cue to put them on ignore and never group with them again.

I think it's funny how the elitists in my guild have ascended to some plane of elitism beyond pointing people to EJ. Now it's more like "You read EJ? Fail. No wonder your [spec][gear][face] is wrong."

I thought EJ was great because they heavily moderate and have people 'in the know' posting on the forums. What else is there, besides creating your own spreadsheets/math? I mean, the people that make the spreadsheets all post on EJ, right? /boggle

    That's pretty much it.

Though I have no idea what the current logic is on paladin dps because the OP of that thread is never updated.

Nah, but I play about three clicks back from that view. I try not to pull the camera back a whole lot unless I'm raiding or doing something where I need to see everything around me, but even so, the camera's set quite a bit lower (at least it seems) for the shorter races.

I tried this once, but it feels too disconcerting having a big character taking up 1/4-1/3 of the screen...I need to be zoomed out as far as possible 100% of the time.

I even use that script to increase your zoom distance and I still wish I could make it go further.

Murloc pet? Is it one of the baby tadpole murlocs or a full grown one? I *loathe* arenas but I might do it just to get the pet...especially if it's one of the tadpoles. I hope it doesn't take some insane amount rating to get

It requires participation in the arena tourney, which you have to sign up and pay for.

Hence me inquiring about a team.

I think it's just an added incentive to participate in the tournament. Not "want an armored murloc? Pay $20 and play 200 arena matches!"

If you don't like Arena at all, it's probably not for you.

It's also 200 matches over 6 weeks, which really isn't that much. That's like 5 matches a day.

So, weirdness in Heroic Gundrak last night. I wish this had gotten Frapsed.

Going towards the last boss, we were pulling the rhino in the middle of the bridge. I shot and charged right as he was charging me, which must have created some weird server sync problem because the rhino just rocketed off the side of the bridge and disappeared.

We waited. 1 minute later we were still in combat but no sign of the rhino, so we decide it bugged out and continue. We engage the two rhino/riders at the top of the stairs and were a bit into that fight when the ninja rhino just appeared behind my healer and mage and instagibbed them. That was the craftiest rhino I've ever seen.

What will we do when it melts again this summer?

I got the "Did Somebody Order a Knuckle Sandwich?" and "Master of Arms" achievements on my mage last night. I did this my autoattacking the primordial drake eggs in Sholozar, although I understand you can do it pretty easily in Dire Maul. I've never done Dire Maul, though, so I went with what I knew would work. I read a book while doing this, occasionally moving to another egg when it got hatched.

She does that to me at times, but in reality she was setting up her own picture later and I just wanted to get the dance one in. Though our mage friend couldn't understand the turn around aspect so in the picture its just his back.

Drop wise it was kind of an off night, got a new set of dps bracers and dps legs, no new tanking gear. Though I did make the tempered titan helm and with gems tacked on another % to my mit and about 1k more hit points. Go team venture.

Bah. This is the first I'd heard of an associated pet. If it was just "participate in tournament" I'd probably do it, losing 200 arena games can be entertaining, and those tournaments are kinda cool with the "pick whatever gear and customizations you want" thing. But $20 for a pet?

Depends how cool it looks. >.>

Commonly seen in many sweepstakes rules is the phrase, "void in Florida, New York, and Rhode Island." Why is that? Those states have specific laws relating to contests and sweepstakes which require that a contest promoter file a registration and post a bond or set up a trust account if the total value of prizes exceeds a certain amount of money.

Florida and New York require a promoter to register and post a bond if the prize pool is valued at $5,000 or more. Rhode Island requires registration if the prize pool is over $500. Arizona skill contests must be registered as "intellectual contests." In Maine, charging an entry fee or even shipping/handling charges may violate its laws.

Vermont law prohibits charging an entry fee or requiring purchase to enter any game of skill, contest, or sweepstakes. If charging anything, void it in Vermont.

For skill contests, Maryland prohibits making an entrant pay fees, buy a product/service, or "participate in . . . a sales promotion effort." This might apply to those Websites which make you hunt for clues or objects on its product sales pages, which can be construed as subjecting the entrant to a sales promotion/advertising.

Basically blizzard has no interest in jumping through goofy state hoops to hold their contests.

So does anyone know if you have to have the arena team signed up in advance? From reading the rules it doesn't appear like that, you basically choose one of these arena realms, set up your dude and then make the team and enter. Sounds pretty simple and I'm sure there will be some loose in it for the pet people like myself.
