The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Those welds are terrible looking on that first one. The pictures are pretty blurry, but it looks like you were just trying to tack it.
Welding on uneven surfaces is a task that shouldn't be taken on by new welders. You should try welding a couple sheets of steel with similar thickness together to get the feeling of what you are about to do.
Looks like you may have some slag inclusion from over burning the metal. It could be caused by a lot of things.
Assuming you were using SMAW it looks as though:
1. Your amperage may have been too high.
2. Or the type of rod you were using (6012?) could have been wrong for the job.
Technique is something that needs to be learned through trial and error. Welding t-joints and butt-joints may be boring, but it is definately a good thing to learn if you're planning on doing a lot of this. Metal isn't very forgiving, and if you have a piece that you aren't going to find another of, it sucks to mess it up with bad welds.

Im guessing the flower one is supposed to be a flower, the totem one is conceptual human form, and the others are simply found object sculptures.
