On the ticket receipt it lists the hours as 10am - 3am for friday and saturday and 10am - 7pm for sunday
Hmmm...I need to see if I can change my flight now. I thought it was 2:00pm like last year. That's what I get for assuming.
**edit**
Got my flight changed. Only cost me $30 ($100 fee - $70 since the cost of the flight went down).

um, wow. Thats crazy. I wonder what they are going to squeeze in for that extra opening time. Paying 5$ more is most certainly worth getting in 5 hours earlier.
The breakfast may have been at nine, but that will get rid of any ability people once had to eat at the breakfast and then line up for 4+ hours, unless they want to eat at 5 or 6am, haha.
Question: With PAX opening at 10am, will the BYOC room open at 9am, consistent with previous years' 1 hour earlier opening?

Yeah, I don't line up all crazy early though. So maybe the breakfast places won't be as packed this year.

It will be a Friday, and aren't the crazy Marketplace folk wake up at the buttcrack-of-the-buttcrack of dawn?

There's no way I'm getting up that early on Friday, that morning is the last sleep I get cuz I'm going to pretty much be awake the entire weekend. I'll still assume the Pre-PAX dinner will be the night before as well, and that's enough for me.
Its not even august and im already jonesing for PAX.

I'm totally psyched about the earlier start time. That implys more panels. Plus, I had a good gap after the breakfast last year that I had nothing to do but wander.
I'm pretty psyched about the earlier opening time. I mean, all I do between b'fast at 9 and open at 3 is sit around in the line room, and I'm certainly not the only one. This move makes sense.
I think a good middle ground would be nice... because that pre-PAX breakfast run was a blast! Also, some of us might be a bit worn out from a long night of alcohol-awashed Hufflepuff victory... er, I mean, Pub Crawling.
EDIT: Not that I'm complaining, mind you. Just in an ideal world, I picture PAX starting at, say, noon.

at least they should finally stop scheduling panels vs the keynote
All this pre-PAX planning makes me sad, don't think I'll be able too be there in time. I'll be lucky if I show up for the line in time. Stupid work and its sucky vacation rules. What about Post-PAX?

Up Hufflepuff! I'm glad we are gonna get more hours of PAX, but I am gonna be sooooo smashed at 10 in the morning (for the glory of my house). Hopefully someone can point me towards greasy delicious breakfast burritos so I can recover my semi-sobriety early on.
Yah, I can't imagine too much of a breakfast on Friday morning since it's so early. I'll probably just bring some food or buy something to eat in line.
So glad I don't get hungover though! Pubcrawl will be great.

I think if you consume enough water when you drink, you won't get hung over. At least, that's what I hear... that the most common reason for hangovers is dehydration.

Keep a bottle of water or gatorade next to the bed when you sleep and drink whenever you're thirsty, it helps a lot.
Remember, if you're thirsty, you're already dehydrated.
But really yah, keep a bottle of water next to your bed. I've always had one since I was very young. I don't usually remember waking up in the middle of the night drinking it, but I tend to go through about 2/3's of a gatorade bottle throughout the night.

^5 for no hangovers.

It doesn't seem to ever make a difference to me. I've been drunk to the point of forgetting the night, and drunk to the point of throwing up, but never had a hangover the next day. Head feels fine usually. Stomach, not so much :P

Also, the crumpet place was so packed I just picked up some fruit from a fruit stand.
