Organizing Skype contacts and notifications.

Okay, so I've got this friend on Skype and recently he's added a mobile app to his ipod to connect him to skype from it.

The problem is that as he wanders in and out of wifi coverage, I'm bombarded with 'So and so has logged into skype' popup messages.

Is there anyway to block notifications from a single contact without applying it to everyone else?
