Damn dungeon kicks my ass. I think I have it figured out now, but I am not sure if I am up for it. I would have to play it with the sound cranked down, and I really don't want to miss the commentary for the boss battle.

Finally played it again today. Didn't beat the dungeon, just played it for a while. I did eventually unlock the boss battle, but didn't have time to try it. I really want to kill the driller first. Is the only way to kill him with 5 signs in the back?

I could be wrong, but I think you can kill him just by hitting him a lot with your chainsaw. The 5 signs is a bonus challenge.

I think you might be wrong. He drills into the ground after I hit him with two chain saw swipes, and then reappears about 5 minutes later. I've hit him twice three or four times.

Finally beat the dungeon. When I finally killed driller, I had 6 or 7 light poles in him. I didn't get anything at all for killing him! The fight with Frank was really easy, ditto the fight with Elise-- once I figured out where she was hiding.

The motorcycle fight was really fun, but was over too soon.

    Area 66 is freaking hard.

So I beat this game like a month, and it was a totally jawsome experience all around.
Also newly cheap is PlatinumGames' MadWorld. GameStop is chainsawing prices on the Sega title, blowing it out for just $29.99 USD. Given that the Wii game sold a seemingly paltry, but still Sega-expectation-meeting 66,000 copies in its first month on the market, one might think that's a reaction to underperforming sales.

But MadWorld is simply joining a long list of Sega titles that get heavily discounted weeks after their release, a proud tradition that includes Sega Superstars Tennis and Golden Axe: Beast Rider.

I'm close to beating MadWorld and I love it, think I'm on the last or second to last level. I still like No More Heroes more mostly due to the story, but MadWorld is tons of fun. Game is a nonstop bloodsoaked garden of madness.

Oh yeah, Madworld is definitely in the garden of madness, that is for sure. I thought the controls were really excellent, very natural and easy. Jack really doesn't look like the kind of dude to a backflip dodge thing, but it works very well.
