What RAM will work?

My computer has a foxconn m7vmx motherboard, currently with 2gb of ram. According to the receipt from when I bought it the ram is one 2gb stick of ddr2 667 something or others. Now I want to get it up to 4gb.

The foxconn website says this about the mobo
Single channel DDR2 800(oc**)/667 x 2 DIMMs, Max. 4GB
Does the single channel ddr2 800 mean I can only have one stick of 800 vs two of 667? Would two 800 sticks not work or am I misinterpreting it?
When I last put ram into machines it was so long ago these numbers weren't even mentioned

So should I:

A) Buy a single stick of 2gb 667 and add to my current setup
B) Buy two 2gb of 667 and replace the current one
C) Buy one 2gb of 800 ram - I'm guessing this would be an improvement over my current setup?
D) Buy two 2gb of 800 ram - Would this work at all, see above?

obviously 4gb is better than 2, but how do the 667/800 compare. Ideally I'd like to put 4gb in there, but where it says single channel am I limited to only putting one stick in?

Typing this has confused me even more. Help

Memory will run at the lowest speed installed/supported. Since you already have 667 Mhz memory you can pretty much put whatever you want in it. Since it is single channel it just means getting matched pairs won't improve speed.

Run CPU-z to figure out your memory stats and find something that matches as close as possible. You can use as many sticks as your motherboard supports, up to the memory limit it supports.

Typically more sticks are better for performance.

Single channel means it won't pair up your memory like it will in Dual channel. It's a performance thing, single means nothing in regards to how many sticks you can install.

Replace your RAM with 2x2gb 800MHz if you want to upgrade.
