Need a new hobby

So for the past year, I've been dealing with tendinitis-type symptoms in both wrists and forearms, making computer use and playing video games very painful. Like many of you, computer/video games have played a major part in keeping me entertained. However, with this pain, I really can't do much when it comes to games.

I'm trying to find some new things to do that doesn't make my arm pain flare up. Currently I'm involved in D&D and catching up on tv series. I did Magic: The Gathering, but that got expensive fast. I'm not big on reading right now (mainly because I read a lot for grad school). I have some other physical limitations that make certain exercises painful, but as of now I'm looking into swimming.

Any suggestions?

Go see a physiotherapist? You have to have pretty shitty posture for a pretty good period of time to get tendinitis from typing, and even once you have it, it's usually a series of minor changes to posture and some simple exercises that it takes to reverse the situation.

Try doing some exercises. Not necessarily with your wrists and arms, but maybe try something like bike riding, jogging, something to help clear your mind and also keep you healthy and in shape.

Also, catch up on some books you've been putting off. I know I have at least 10 or 15 books I bought but haven't gotten around to reading yet.

If it wouldn't be strenuous on your hands, maybe clean and organize your house/apartment/whatever?

Yeah, as I mentioned I'm looking into swimming and getting back into biking. I'm slowly getting back into reading, but by the end of the day when I'm finished with my school work, the last thing I want to do is read more.
