I just picked up the SE of MOM at Best Buy here in Tempe Arizona for $29. I figured the least I could do is try the game if it is that cheap. Heads up if anyone has not made the jump thats dirt cheap for a game with some extra goodies such as a cloth map.

Volume 1 epic storyline is fucking epic!! Finished it yesterday... so damn good! I am (was) excited to start Vol 2 storyline but I have heard a lot of people say its not as good as Vol 1, which is slightly dissapointing... but we'll see. If you bitches aren't reading the epic quest storylines... you should be!

    Aye.

Tebien and one of Aibe's alts (can't remember the name) were arguing about M4 rifles or some shit. Then Aibe logged off, and Tebien goes "That guy really annoys the shit out of me sometimes." So I go "Well take it up with him then, instead of telling us about it when he leaves." or somesuch. Immediately after I said that, Tebien removed himself from the kinship.

I don't really see where I did anything wrong. Maybe he didn't like that I suggested he shoot straight with his "friend" instead of ripping on him when he wasn't there to defend himself. In which case, bon voyage. We here at The Barrovian Society will not cater to drama queens, and I personally don't approve of talking shit behind someone's back. If you've got something to say to someone, say it to them instead of everyone else. If he wants to bail, that's his decision. But for the record, I never told him I wanted him out. I like everyone in TBS, without exception. I don't have any problems with anybody, and I thought I did a good enough job of making that clear. I'm proud of everyone who's played a part in revitalizing TBS these days.

My guess is, the two of them were probably planning to leave anyway, and were just looking for the tiniest reason to do so without having to explain themselves.

Hey, innertube discussions of m4 rifles are srs biz. I think the argument boiled down to "The m4a1 exists, I saw it on tv/website!" "Nuh uh, I know it doesn't!" "Raaarr" "Super-saian go!"

I was there, and am still confused. I just naturally assumed there was something more going on that what was over kin chat, but maybe not. Which is too bad, cuz I thought both of them were pretty cool and will be missed.

But yeah, my Warden (Pesch) is now my highest char ever at 31. Venturing into the Angmar to acquire higher tier resources for mah craftz (pristine hides, dorf-iron, and bling). Rawr!

I'm officially proud to be doing my part to boost the PA presence in Middle Earth. Right now I'm rolling with a lowbie Warden (Caomhie, 15). Not sure if I enjoy the class yet or not, so I may reroll her as a hunter or captain.

Part of my uncertainty may be due to the lag issues I was having while trying to use goad during the level 15 class quest. I almost had it on my first try, and the last bandit killed my ally just before I killed the badit. Very frustrating. Then the lag spikes and rubberbanding hit, and I ragequit.

What's the alt policy in the kinship, by the way? I usually have two toons that I keep fairly close to each other in level.

I dunno the policy of the kin with alts, per say, but I have 3 characters in the kinship that I regularly play. Two of em are mostly just crafters, but they get their time slaying beasties too. Pretty sure Hjar is cool with alts.

So, regarding the timer on class deeds. When does it reset?

I've got Never Say Die at 198/200 last night and then capped it. Obnoxious thing. I want to finish it. It's the first Warden deed I've come across that doesn't suck a huge amount of balls. In fact, it looks rather awesome.

Midnight server time, I believe. There are some neat Warden deeds, especially Expert Hurler (-15s cooldown on javelin skills) and Know Your Enemy (+3 goad targets) are awesome.

Hello all, I've been lurking about in the LOTRO threads for quite a sad amount of time and finally went out and purchased it. I'd enjoy playing with ya'll on Landroval if you've any room in the kinship. I'm currently playing a level 13 Champion named Brittain.

I said that he grinds my gears some times, in jest. I've known him for over 15 years, you can drop the " " from the word friend. I thought it would get a normal "haha" or "oh boy" reaction, like from normal people. But since you're kind a douchebag with a tounge-in-cheek/backhanded compliment personality, what you really said was "keep that out of kinship chat." This combined with other stuff you've said since I've joined was the breaking point. I think the best thing you said to me was when I hit level 10 when i first joined a few weeks ago: I commented that the leveling curve seemed light and that I was leveling fast. You retorted that you don't feel bad about leveling because you actually do stuff in real life. Comments like that compounded and I had enough. There wasn't any drama and it certainly wasn't any scheme by me and Aibe to move onto some big raiding guild. If I wanted to leave for a raiding guild, I would have. I pay the $15 a month and will go where I want. You guys are all great, especially Ravanna. Best of luck and sorry this had to get drug out on the interwebz like this.

Listen, I truly am sorry that the things I said pissed you off that much. I know it sounds weird, but I only tease people that I consider my friends. In fact, you should take me giving you shit as a blatant sign that I've taken a liking to you. It's just how I am. Call me rough around the edges, call me a tough pill to swallow, but don't call me a douchebag and bail on the kin, because that's wholly unnecessary. We all want you and Aibe as a part of TBS.

Now that you've gotten my wholehearted apology, I will defend myself.

Everything I've ever said that you regard as "snarky" or "douchebaggish" has been said entirely in good humor. I think it would benefit you to thicken your skin a little bit if that kind of mellow shit got to you that badly. That said, if my personality was bothering you that much, you should've sent me a tell or something. You should have taken it up with me and let me know how you felt instead of waiting for it to drive you crazy enough to want no more part of the kin. I had no idea how I was making you feel, and by handling things the way you did, you in turn caused me to misinterpret your intentions and blow the whole thing out of proportion.

If you want to work this out, you know to reach me. My door is always open, as they say. I won't be on LOTRO this afternoon due to Easter obligations, but most likely this evening around or after 7 eastern time. If not, then I hope you continue to enjoy LOTRO at the very least, and it was fun having you as a part of TBS.

We do not need hunters or champions. Landroval is so overpopulated with hunters, it's not even funny. I guess we could kinda use a healer, seeing as they're the most in-demand class in the game, but I think it would be super cool to see someone level up a Lore Master. Far as I know, we don't have a whole lot of them in TBS.

I lurk here mostly but have been considering reupping LOTRO and seeking out TBS for a while. Then the free weekend thing hit a few weeks ago and the game just pulled me in like it never has before. I have a 22 (highest level toon I have...sad, I know) Guardian but have been thinking of trying a lore master so maybe I'll start a new LM and finally join up.

What ingame char should I search for about joining TBS?

Yeah, I'm kind of wishing I focused more on the Rune-keeper or made a loremaster instead, just because they seem far more rare, and I'm not really sure if I'm down with tanking, I much prefer support or DPS. But the Warden plays really well, and I just know for sure that if I were to reroll a character I'd get to the lone lands and burn out again, because that's what I do EVERY TIME I resub with this game. I get one character to the early-mid 20s, then reroll once or twice and get to the same level but burn out on the content because I've done it 3 times more without ever seeing what's past the north downs.

I'm starting to get a better feel for the warden class now though, around level 22 or so. They can output some half decent damage at times it seems, and I do like the idea of being an off-tank for a guardian that can output some good dps when needed.

The downside of a burglar hobbit is that you'll be the stereotype.

I think I'm going to make a burglar some time, just to see if they're any fun. Warden rules, though, but maybe a more subtle character would be nice to have as well.

From what I've researched on burglars they seem pretty rad. I still don't really understand their talent trees (sorry to use the WoW terminology, I'm not up to date with LotRO lingo yet) at all though. Seem like they have a lot of fun little tricks and can really help the group through CC and setting up those fellowship combo attacks.

I do quite a bit of monster play (because I enjoy being a Warg and eating hobbits). What I've learned of Burglar is ggrrrrraaaaa really?!??! A talented burglar has an insane amount of crowd control. A single burglar took down me and two other creeps (granted, I was only rank 1 and they were unranked but had all their powers bought). But not only did he take us down, he had damn near full health/power at the end. It was kind of embarassing.

I also have a burglar, and they are quite a lot of fun. Really frustrating in the beginning levels because they dont have all their tricks yet. I think mine is only ~20, but it is hilarious to tell an npc a riddle and then he just stands there dumbfounded. Sadly, I havent really been in a group thats properly utilized a burglar yet.
