At weeks beginning, I predicted the DOW would fall below 7K. For a while I thought I might end up being wrong.
Then came today...
It's announced that the US government will take control of 36% of Citigroup, thus hammering that stock in pre-day trading. There is doubt that the bank will even survive 2009.
Also, it was released that the US economy shrank by 6.2% in the 4th quarter, the biggest decline in over 26 years.
Currently, DOW future is down 158 points, and poised to open at 7,020.00 with an expected further tumbling after the sounding of the bell.
The Nasdaq is also down in pre-market activity and set to open at 1,109.25, and I fully expect that number to fall below 1K by next weeks end.
