The Obs quote - the hyperbole one, what was that about. Lots of everyone declared it comedy gold - I presume because it was so absurd as to be laughable, not because Obs was really making a joke, but I couldn't even see what he was getting at. Any help? Can you explain the Obs to me?
Obs is a troll. There’s nothing more to it.

Oh yeah, the thing in Quid's sig. I assumed he would have been banned days ago.

Oh, you're one of those types. And holy shit, I just realized that DeskSpace could put your multi-desktop cube in the center of a 3D skybox. My mind is blown.

Which type? The dual-monitor type or the Mac type? Because I mostly only use my Mac for productivity, most of my games are still on the Windows machine. Windows is fine for playing with toys, because when it does retarded shit like it likes to do nothing critical is harmed.

My current annoyance with multiple desktops is that since I stopped using Compiz (murders battery life and makes all the fans in this laptop run at full-tilt all the time) the Ctrl-Shift-Left and Right shortcuts don't wrap round, so I can't go from desktop 1 to desktop 4 without going through 2 and 3.

What? No, Spaces is built into Leopard. I use it the way I used to use dual-monitors. Work goes in Space 2, internet communication in Space 1, Google Earth goes in Space 3, and anything media-editing goes in Space 4. Is it strictly necessary? No, but it makes productivity easier and keeps me organized. Plus my brain pretty well switches tasks on the cue of the little screen-wipe visual, pavlovianly.
I keep everything except space 1, except email and feeds in 2. IM and IRC also go in 2, but I effectively never use those.
I mostly only use 1 and 2, but spreading stuff out is easier for me.
Yeah. I only run a handful of applications, so I don’t have need for anything beyond two. I definitely see the the benefit in mental compartments though.

From Space 1, control + <- takes me to 4, and control + down-arrow takes me to 3. The whole thing is nice and intuitive, I like it.

Something about saying that people who bought bad mortgages deserve to lose their homes. He presented it as being a revolt by average people who don’t want to pay taxes for the losers, but really it’s a self-defense thing for rich people.
