Do the two air opposite each other? I wouldn't know, I don't watch TV as it airs.
As for Chuck, it just reeks of "trying to hard at being marketed towards the 18-30-year-old-male-gamer demographic," the same reason Big Bang Theory doesn't really appeal to me. I have no idea what seasons I've tried watching it from, cause my roommate watches it all the time, and I occasionally sit in on part of an episode with him.
First off, are you fucking insane? If they were marketing Big Bang Theory to 18-30 gamers, the show would have been off the air a year ago. How big a demographic do you think that is?
Second, your complaint is kind of moronic. If you don't like the show, fine, but it's jokes are trial and error same as every sitcom on TV. Some are funny, some aren't, but "trying to hard?" Would you rather they just sit around a coffee shop?

So, in your mind, everyone who buys a video game ever is lumped in the same demographic? Really? I'll remember that when I'm picking up Pretty Princess Ponies: The Video Game for my sister.

The only standard sitcoms I've enjoyed have been the ones with more experimental writing and production. High-end stuff like Roseanne and Drew Carey, and then more low-brow stuff like Married with Children and Unhappily Ever After (which was pretty much the same show, but with a talking stuffed animal played by Bobcat Goldthwait).

Ah. Unhappily Ever After. When Nikki Cox was hot.
Is she not hot anymore? She was hot on Las Vegas...

when he was younger he looked like trejo (from Desperado when he was more cut than buff as opposed to from Machete), heavy native american blood and a life of working in the sun made it so that he could've passed off as Mexican. Over the last 10 years, though, he's lost a lot of his muscle, and his hair's gone white, so he looks kind of like Sam Elliot. ...and he totally does have an awesome moustache.
Sentry: This may clear up your confusion with my statement.
I enjoyed early Seinfeld, but over time it really began to drag. I've never even heard of 30 Rock, and while I'd probably enjoy Chuck it's only just started here on pay-TV.
Maybe it's a product of Australia's slapdash approach to scheduling, but about five years ago I pretty much lost all tolerance for watching shows on normal TV on a weekly basis. I switched over to watching stuff in big chunks on DVD and I much prefer it that way.

yeah, it helped.
"Primary" is a song by The Cure, released in 1981. It was the first single from their album Faith.
I thought that song came out in 84. In other news, until you can give me fucking human numbers, throwing out 10 billion dollar industry doesn't mean fuck-all when it comes to TV ratings. Oh, any by the by, Big Bang Theory does better among adults aged 18-49 then it does among adults 18-34. And ACTUALLY, it does even better with 25-54 then 18-49, which cuts rather drastically into your demographic.

What's Aussie's native entertainment industry like?
Pretty awful, I don't think I currently follow a single Australian comedy/drama show. My wife likes some of the reality shows like Aussie Biggest Loser, and there is the occasional panel/quiz show that's worth a watch, but nothing story driven. And hell even most of that is just a local version of an overseas program.
I don't actually watch a lot of TV, there are probably a few decent local shows out there like Underbelly (kind of like Aussie Sopranos) but frankly I tried and I couldn't think of a second example.
Is she not hot anymore? She was hot on Las Vegas...
Noooo. No. Very much no. I don't know what happened, but ... No (Don't click that. Or if you do, don't say I didn't warn you.)
What... what the fu...
First, it looks like her breasts and mouth are trying to escape. Second, she's a color most often found among the Umpa-Loompas...
oh god... WHAT HAPPENED???? What happened to THIS?

Jay Mohr is radioactive? It's probably some kind of curse for making fun of Christopher Walkin... I always knew you shouldn't cross that guy.

Other people on the forum where I got that (and I was looking for compensatory pics of someone else, but I don't know your tastes) blame plastic surgery.

footage from SuperHero Squad, it's old, but I hadn't seen it yet, maybe a few of you haven't either. I think it looks pretty damned rad.
I was skeptical of Brave and the Bold, but it turned out to be awesome. However, they aren't expanding the pool of guest heroes so much in the more recent episodes, and I'm kind of getting tired of it at this point.
Without learning from prior experience, I will say that this could potentially be terrible. Doom was cool, but I'm really afraid that this will end up just being a really generic late-80s style cartoon where every episode is more-or-less exactly the same, and nothing ever happens.
Smallville doesn't actually count as a comic-based program, does it?
I was going to start watching because Sentry said it had gotten better, but then I saw that this week's episode has Lois Lane adopting the superheroine identity of "Stiletto". No thanks!
Also, Super Hero Squad doesn't seem like it'll have anything to appeal to actual comic book fans (old guys), so I'll pass.
I feel the need to post clips from The IT Crowd to help wash away the bad experiences of sitcom hell everyone has experienced (regardless of it having a laugh track), but then I remember I am lazy.
Dammit, tried to post links but damn anti-embedding thingymahjoo prevents it. Oh just go search for it on youTube ( I recommend looking for the clip "The IT Crowd | Money Matters | Channel 4")
Damn anti-piracy...now I feel like shooting a cop, then stealing his hat.

Seriously though, Smallville is the most hit and miss show on television.

Hey, I was on topic with the Big Bang Theory because it related to comics. Then everyone got up in its grill and started dissing it and somehow we got into Brad Bird's Pixar movies.
In short, isn't everyone supposed to blame Bush for everything that goes wrong?

Pretty much just miss and miss.
The show feels like what you would get if superhero comics were aimed at 14 year old girls, or something.
