has anyone watched No Heroics? allegedly it's going to get remade for US TV.
It's good. A bit on the cheap looking side of things but the jokes are good. I can see it working here if the budget is higher. If it comes on a cable or pay channel it would be closer to its comic roots.
They're also going to remake Saxondale for the US (my sig and avatar), which will probably miss the entire premise of the show, like with Top Gear.

They made a pilot version of it where Adam Corolla was the Clarkson in the group, and it pretty much ignores car reviews (because commercial television is all we have here) or news and was pretty much wacky things with cars. That's part of the TG charm but they don't really make things to fail, failing just adds funny to the end result. Sure, it will look completely stupid like Hammond's Suzuki police mobile, but they actually try to be better than the others in challenges.
They wanted Jay Leno to do it, but he declined, knowing it couldn't hold a candle to the BBC version. Look at Top Gear Australia (boy does their test lap suck)
That little clip from last year's comic-con was pretty good. I will admit to being bummed out that Snake Eyes is a bounce off the walls/fall 80 feet from the trees/jump around on dudes' heads ninja. I always liked the early comics when he was much more like a sneaky guy with an Uzi.
In this episode, Blue Beetle develops a crush on the slightly older and far-more-dangerous femme fatale Huntress, but there is little time for love with Baby Face busting his gang out of prison for a major heist! Watch the crowd closely during the jailbreak sequence to see some of your favorite villains including Pharaoh, Skeleton Keyes, Polecat Perkins and more!

Holy shit, they're using the Calculator in his old, terrible, giant-calculator-on-chest costume.
So I'm watching Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut
I'm a little rusty on the theatrical Superman II, but this one (43:00 in) is already showing a different sort of charm. There's something... validating with the honesty with which it was created. And the visuals aren't half bad either.
So a new Ninja Turtles movie is set for production with a release in 2011. Focusing on the origins.
Why? The first movie was pretty much perfect.
I really wanted a second TMNT.
I'm kind of bummed out now, because imagi + shredder would've been incredible. Also, I'm more likely to go see a CG kids movie in a theater than a live action or half live action one.
So, good luck on this one to Peter Laird and those producers.
Well, from what I've read, they (meaning Laird and this producer) haven't seemed too interested in getting Imagi back into the second film.

So the word on the street is that all the reshoots that fox was talking about? The ones that were supposedly not in the workprint leaked version of Wolverine? Bull. Workprint is the theatrical version, minus some effects. http://filmdrunk.uproxx.com/2009/04/fox-lied-about-wolverine-leak
The wife works for a company that handles licencing for various production companies. She lucked into the job, and is now apparently so indespensable, she can hardly take a 4 day vacation. It's awesome because she's a marketing major in school, too.
what an awesome movie that'd be. "Oh shit, the music's playing, we can't keep him from dancing! What if his sunglasses fall off?!" "Oh shit, he's limply gunning people down in an alley!"
Man, I have NO idea what the fuck is going on with Wolverine. First we hear there's going to be extra scenes that weren't in the leaked version, then there's word that there's not. And now there's rumblings of multiple secret endings?
just stepped out of a screening of X-Men Origins: Wolverine on the Fox lot in Los Angeles and before it started, director Gavin Hood stopped by to introduce the film. He spent most of the time thanking us for coming to this screening and seeing Wolverine the way it should be seen, in theaters, and talked about how many difference there were between the final cut and the early leaked version. He then mentioned that Marvel has a tradition of hiding easter eggs in their films, and it's no exception for Wolverine. They've hidden multiple secret endings on different prints and theaters will be showing different versions.
If this is true, fuck Fox. I'll just youtube the endings when they eventually hit it.
Relating to the multiple endings thing, also from firstshowing;
will say, quickly, that I enjoyed Wolverine and wouldn't call it great, but liked it a lot more than I was expecting. I think my expectations had been brought down considerably because of all the negative buzz from the leak. However, seeing a finished and polished version was what made all the difference (I never saw the leaked version anyway). As for the secret ending we saw tonight, I'll only say that it featured Deadpool, but I won't say anything more, as I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone. We'll let you know when we hear any more about the secret endings in Wolverine, including how many there are and what they are.
I'm guessing this is how they're going to retcon the movie Deadpool to the Deadpool more familiar to movie audiences.
Though if they're hoping to spin him off into his own movie, the multiple endings don't make sense, as he won't get full exposure. Though I guess it could be Fox lying.

The X-Men origins: Magneto, is that still in the pipeline or is Wolverine the barometer for whether to continue with this line? There was talk of doing straight to DVD versions for other characters, like Cyclops, Jean and Professor X

I should ask my wife.

Because that would be amazing.

Have you seen the other marvel DTVs? They're fucking terrible.
And yeah, the Magneto movie depends on how well Wolverine does. If it bombs, they'll skip right to the Young X-Men reboot.
Also, here's a funny pic I found of X-Men Origins: Wolverine's rendition of Deadpool.

Did you see the trailer for the next one (Young Thor)?
It looks much closer to Ultimate Avengers and Next Avengers than to Hulk vs Wolverine.
