They are limited by time, but Wonder Woman and New Frontier definitely felt like movie-movies that had been cut short. Doomsday had a LOT of problems and strayed not only very far from the source material, but also tried to combine EVERYTHING in the character's mythology into one very short film. Gotham Knight was interesting, but it didn't make for a particularly riveting watch.
As for First Flight, I haven't actually started Johns's Green Lantern run yet (I've got it all, and I'm starting it tomorrow night), but it did feel really different than any Green Lantern stuff I've seen in the past. The sci-fi settling felt way too grounded, much more than the stuff I'm used to in GL and DC Cosmic where different planets, races, and species are normally very unique and strange. So, yeah, it did have too much of a Star Wars feel to it.
The voice-acting was kind of iffy, too.
As for the final fight, yeah it was kind of strange, and yeah it had a vague resemblance to DBZ, but I still thought it was really cool. Again, like with Doomsday, I make the argument that they were trying to synthesize the entire mythology into one package and ended up with a wonky, watered down product because of it. The character designs throw back to Gil Kane in a lot of ways, and his detailed and realistic style is still very much present with Reis and Van Scriver. Also, I felt like this was kind of a compromise for a Sinestro Corps movie, due to the fact that they probably don't want to make direct followups to these DTVs, and because the live action GL in production will probably be over-reliant on SCW material in a possible sequel. So the fight at the end became them throwing as many tricks as they could out into the open at once.
Yes, Hal
goes Super-Saiyan, but it's only after he
Absorbs the entire Green Element - Possibly becoming a watered-down version of Ion?
And yeah, the fight sends crazy shock waves around space, but I think that those waves were what
ended up recharging Kilowag's ring, since Hal had the ENTIRE BATTERY in him.
It wasn't my favorite, but I liked it more than Doomsday, Gotham Knight, or ANY of the Marvel DTVs.
In terms of actually succeeding as a film, and in terms of my enjoyment, the rankings so far:
1. Wonder Woman
2. New Frontier
3. First Flight
4. Doomsday
5. Hulk Vs.
6. Gotham Knight
7. Ultimate Avengers I
And below that, all of the other Marvel stuff, which ranges from ridiculously bland to incredibly abysmal.

I think that was the point of the crazy DBZ style fight scene at the end.
My friend who occasionally follows comics said the exact same thing.
eh i don't know about that, i mostly want to because I felt the movie made Sinestro pretty interesting and I've been interested i checking out Sinestro Corp Wars for a while. If anything when he had his "green shell" thing going on I thought it was pretty stupid.

If you want Sinestro stories, check out the Emerald Dawn I & II trades.
It was the Year One version of Hal and being trained, but Emerald Dawn II deals a lot with Hal realizing Sinestro is off his rocker.
Also, MD Bright art. That guy was totally underrated.
i09 interviewed Marvel producer Kevin Feige on the lineup for the upcoming Avengers film, and while things aren’t set in stone yet, Feige was surprisingly firm about who will make the cut:
I think it’s going to be Iron Man and Thor, Captain America and Nick Fury. I think it’s safe to assume that there will be some members of the Hulk universe in the film as well. In terms of the additional I think Black Widow, sure. The SHIELD organization for sure. What’s exciting, for me, about The Avengers movie is seeing those four characters interact with each other. I think anywhere from the first issues of The Avengers to Civil War the dynamic between Steve Rogers and Tony Stark is just awesome, it’s fascinating. It brings out sides in others that won’t be brought out in the other franchises. Going forward with the mix is a whole other thing, I think it will be cool. So to pile on another 15 or 10, frankly more than four would be too many.
Now, for those of you who might be freaking out at this announcement — “Where’s Hawkeye?!” was probably the first thought that ran through my head — just wait a second. Feige says that Zak Penn is still writing the outline, so the Hulk may or may not be in the film.
But perhaps most important is the SHIELD connection: in Mark Millar’s Ultimates series, Nick Fury brought in four specially-trained members of the SHIELD Black Ops Division — namely Hawkeye, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver — to the team. And that’s also forgetting to mention that in that entire list, there’s exactly one woman — and where would the Avengers be without the Wasp? In other words — if the first X-Men movie can pack together six main characters, I’m feeling confident that the Avengers can at least match that. What say you, Rama readers?
I have such high hopes for that movie. I hope they can keep any other characters under wraps, which seems impossible with high profile movies these days. How cool would it be to be in the theater and have Hawkeye show up to kick some Skrull ass, without any pre-movie spoilers telling us he'd be there?
And also, for the people who were complaining about the Skrulls being in the movie: They've said before that the Avengers movie is going to be heavily influenced by the first Ultimates book. The big bad in that book were the Chitauri, another race of alien shape shifters. So it wouldn't be too hard to have them appear, and just change the name to Skrulls, since they are better known by Marvel fans.

Weren't the Chitauri the Ultimate-version of the skrulls anyway? They said they had no names of their own and used whatever name a native species gave them. According to their leader, one of the many names they'd been called in the past was 'Skrull.'
I know some regular Skrulls appear in Ultimate Fantastic Four, but I think you're right, and the Chitauri were a branch of the Skrulls. I forgot all about that.
The one thing I dont like about this DTVs is how they go out of their way to say it isn't connected to the regular DCAU. Like itd cause some tear in the universal fabric or something for it to be so.
So, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies isn't about Batman as a charismatic bank robber and Superman isn't the hotshot FBI agent who has to track him down during the Great Depression?
I don't care what ages this thing is designed for, this looks like a really fun game. It will probably be really crappy, but I'm still going to play it.

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies could end up being the best of the DTVs, since it's a summer blockbuster type story that requires no thought
It's just dudes showing up and fighting. There probably won't be much cut to fit 75 minutes
I'm glad they put Captain Marvel and Hawkman in the movie, but I keep thinking they'll skip over the whole Bat and Super families coming to rescue the two at the White House (mainly because Superboy was in it and I don't think the whole ordeal with the Siegel's was resolved by the time the movie was animated). If they can at least throw us a bone (ha!) and let Krypto be in the movie I'll be happy.

I'm still kind of pissed that Superhero Squad bumped Mini Marvels. Because Mini Marvels is uniformly hilarious, and Superhero Squad is "Appeals to children according to corporate".
That said, I'm all for what looks like an all-ages Ultimate Alliance.
It kind of looks like one of the Lego Star Wars/Indiana Jones/Batman games, actually. Gameplay wise, at least. Which is good, those games are really simple and fun.

The live-action movie doesn't rely on the Johns' reboot much actually. LEGION and Hector Hammond are meant to be the big bads in it. IN fact, I'm not sure Sinestro's even in it.
Anyway, I didn't really like First Flight. Specifically
Sinestro being more powerful than the Guardians, Boodikka being evil and the crappy use of constructs. Plus super saiyan Hal was dumb.
A lot of characters seemed to be out of character too, at least as much as I know them. Kilowog was pretty bad in particular.
Out of the DCU movies, I'd probably rate Doomsday as my favourite, with New Frontier just behind it. Wonder Woman was decent and Gotham Knight only had two stories that I liked, while the others were mediocre to bad.

Seriously? It seems dumb for DC to bring Legion into the movie franchise, right after they've retconned him out of the comic history. Just replace him with Atrocitus; it's gonna be a crappy CGI character either way.

DC don't write (or have any real involvement) in their movies, Warner does. Well, Warner hired Marc Guggenheim, Greg Berlanti and Michael Green to write it but that's beside the point. I'm not really sure I'd want DC to handle them anyway, since they'd probably just get all fanboy-ish, like they've been towards the silver age the last few years.
Personally, I thought the Secret Origin retcons were tacky as hell anyway, so I'll be pretty happy if they haven't been edited into the script already.
Also, I mixed up LEGION (Vril Dox and co) with Legion in my last post. I just re-read the script review and yeah, it's the character Legion, not the group.
also, Mini Marvels beat 'em up ala the old Captain America and the Avengers arcade game I could see being very similar to Castle Crashers and very good.

When this ran right after SCW.
But, moreso, right after Infinite Crisis when the DCU got its soft reboot.
